The Change

It was Sunday morning. Percy woke up early. He decided to wash his face and brush his teeth. As soon as he went towards the mirror, he was shocked to find that the face in the mirror was not his. It was oddly shaped and dark in complexion.

He tried washing his face, in the hope that it was all because of dirt but in vain. To his utter horror, he had woken up with a face that was not his.

He was already feeling so frightened and then something happened. He suddenly had a blackout and the background changed. He was in between five to six boys who were laughing at him. One of them gave Percy a push. He heard them cracking jokes on his new dark-complexioned face. Just as he did 2 days before with a dark-complexioned boy Jason.

Then again he had a blackout and he was back in his room. He was weeping. Not because his face had changed but because he felt guilty of bullying Jason due to his dark complexion. He had learnt his lesson. He took an oath that he would never bully anyone and would say no to racism and tell others to do so.

Then he had another blackout and this time he was in his bed. It was not late before he realized that it was all a dream. He was happy to realize this. From the next day, he apologized to Jason, and they became friends.
