Forward:

The year is 1882 the Victorian era is well underway A Queen named Victoria now holds England's throne as her own to sit and stay as she sees fit

Her lust for gold has thrust many men to their deaths to fulfill at their Queen's behest

They have just been recently handed a defeat on the African plains in a foreign war known to most as the "Boer"

Native men cooperated to change their fate as of late against unjust taxation

Though just very few, they won over British might with the insight to relieve the ranks of their officer flight Their accurate sniping quite dulled the might of Englands' uninvited blight

Twas' an embarrassing loss for Great Britain at great cost and they are in no need of a repeat for the masses to take sight

To save face from another disgrace what Queen Victoria hesitates and hides on the side discreetly away from the public eye is the discovery of a new race in a place so secluded it has eluded humankind since the beginning of time

Residing deep in the Amazon jungle hidden away under a magical cloak away from prying eyes and humans evoke

For it seems the Amazonian race has been well in place for over 1000 decades more than the human spore

Engraved with strength the Gods of old forbade man due to its proclivity for war

Their introduction into the modern day is about to go public for all to display

This British Queen wants exclusive rights to put her hand into this land that abounds in more gold and mineral resources than one could ever hold

However, it seems her intend to strip it away must be waylaid for yet another day for she has just learned through correspondence via homing pigeon These Amazon giants of old destroyed 90% of a secret naval fleet she already sent replete with enough artillery to wage war on a small country right into the "drink".

She is also told of humans who will speak as ambassadors on behalf of the Amazonian race about this disgrace. So she sits and waits with bated breath for them to show and explain why her men were slain, ships destroyed, and rightly so

Chapter 1

Imagine if you will weary travelers coming home to chill. They have been gone for 14 months far away in the Jungles' foray. But what makes these different from the rest is that they have been given a lift in the aristocratic class to be seen as ambassadors before the British cast

Deemed by a foreign culture that just months before only existed in ancient lore to be their P.O.C. for anything to do with the newly founded Amazon state

Mr. Jack Jenesee Jr. Ph.D. from Oxford University in Biology perhaps was just in the right time and place to be given this grace.

But to be aire and blood to the Amazon throne was on another level without being undersold

After his late father lain with their Queen and she gave birth to his sister Lyn it gave him an "in" to an ancient race that will soon be placed into the modern-day

With his fellow ambassadors of sorts:

Mr. Charles Robbins from the British town of York and former Master Gunner in the Queen's Navy who has forcibly disembarked An industrious man whose skill with arms that kill has spilled so much blood they tried to shove him into a 2x4 cell for treason

Captain John Horn from Antilles West Indies born an orphan on the street with no family to speak He took to piracy from a youth though quite uncouth the truth he is an honorable man who stays aloof and quite favors the bottle

Yes, these men thrust from the lower classes may be of a questionable cast but have earned the trust of the Amazon masses and their Queen So they travel on the only remaining ship from the Amazon tiff named the Neptune. A Colonel named Creep takes a seat and informs them he has affixed a note on a pigeon bound for a home to inform the Queen of all the recent doings

Col. Creep: I've informed the Queen of our loss at such great a cost but since you now represent the Amazon faction I'm sure she will expect answers from you about how you sunk the Howe, the Waterloo, and my crew

Jack: "I will address the Queen personally since you two will be busy with the list Lyn has given us to fulfill at her request."

Captain Horn has just awakened from a drunken snooze the booze on his breath it's still pungent embrace wafts into Jack's face as he states "List?" "Surely you jest." "I was nominated an ambassador but it's not without relent." "What are Lyn's intents with this list she presents?"

Mr. Robbins: "Aye laddy, my curiosity is peaked what does she seek?"

Jack: "Hold your brews before you get off que." "She knows as ambassadors you aren't the ones to be presented as such." "It's much more of a title so the Queen will leave you be." "To give you immunity with impunity." "Considering you were wanted for treason just last season." "Her parameters for you as Amazon ambassadors are based on an understanding for you to import modern day trappings at her asking." "She is well aware diplomacy isn't your forte'."

"Capt. since your inclination for drink seems to be your chink. She requested that you procure foreign liquor enough to fill a clipper for Amazon consumption." "The black chest to your right holds more than enough gold to bankroll her request and whatever is left shall be recompense for the time allotted for your expenses."

Horn kicks opens the chest and spies more gold than he could ever physically hold "Gods alive with that much gold does Lyn want me to dry up half the British isles!" "She will have her liquors en-route post haste please relate to Lyn I will personally try every sample for palatability of Amazon tastes."

Jack: "LOL" "Given your preference for distilled beverages it made you the perfect reference to gage Amazon preferences."

"Rob, Lyn requested that you obtain modern day machining so they can manufacture cams, sprokets, and gears. She has also heard of our invention called a steam engine and wants you to conscribe import through Callo port."

"Your funding for such an undertaking will be the larger chests down in the hold brimming with gold." "Hire help as you see fit to transport to our ship."

Mr. Robbins: How much time do we have before we set back to the Amazon shore?

Jack: "In three months time we will set sail with no avail back to Peru." "It should be adequate wait for enough freight to fill a ship stem to stern before our adjourn."

"Along with addressing the Queen I will work on getting us a clipper from a shipper to fulfill Lyn's lists."

So a month later they arrived back in the British isles with smiles affixed on their faces happy to be home in their peoples good graces With pockets brim full of ancient gold to embold modern ways to Amazon days

Mr. Robbins was the first to embark into Lyn's list and immediately set foot in a sector known as Smethwick

An industrialized zone with nary a home just acres of chimneys for manufacture

He took on the chore of going door to door but, was ignored or told to come back later For this was in the middle of England's second industrial revolution who's contributions of steel were in such appeal there was no unused machinery available

He sat on a bench in a park called Hyde very maligned to ponder the problem into which he was assigned

A disguished bearded gent sat beside him and an introduction was wrent

He said his name was Hiram Maxim a man who stated "he was ever on the invent."

He related to Rob that he could see the blood vessels throb in his forehead from thinking soo hard He was curious what had him fosterinng such fierce pondering

Mr. Robbins explained that he was conscribed to acquire tons of manufacturing machinery in three months time

Hiram relayed "That is quite the predicament to lament but, one of mine is to make an arm that is capable of soo much harm it would make armies conceede and request peace."

Mr. Robbins: "Thats easy, I designed an arm that creates soo much harm no man in his right mind stand in it's sights."

Rob reached into his sack to unpack schematics for his fleur automatic to display for Hiram to weigh

Hiram: "This is genius I would have never forseen this!" "Diffuse the energy used to wound another round." "This is exactly what I need to conceive my push for peace." "Tell me what rate of fire does she achieve?"

Mr. Robbins: "I've seen her achieve about 30 rounds per minute." "A small brigade aerated a warship right quick in a secret South American incident making the dissidents quickly relent their intents."

Hiram: "Hmmm." "If I alot for you to buy half my shop would you allow me to use your design?" "It has rows of the machinery you need for your deeds."

Mr. Robbins: "For a man that intends to use it for peace when released I could not deny thy desire."

Hiram: "Come make a short stop at my workshop and I can show you my equipment to gist for your list." "There we can discuss use of this fleur you introduced."

Mr. Robbins: "Lead the way we are burning day."

So it would seem Rob's luck held out a twist of fate without a doubt Hopefully this would later prove a conducive business collusion with a profitable conclusion

Our illustrious Captain Horn once he immediately hit shore expeditiously entered tavern doors

He then did sink swiftly into drink wasting a month soo drunk time slipped swiftly by without blinking an eye

Once he came to realize Lyn's list was still due he sobered up just enough to start tasting the finer wares that local distillers brew

But Horn knew Amazons liked a fruitier taste engraced with light acidic earth tone so he zoned his pallet and drank from soo many caskets he dried up many of their assets Word soon got around about a discerning ambassador was in town frowning on their finest wares

So shortly our Capt. was met with blank stares when he asked brewers about their best taps

Even more time elapsed but Horn just laid scorn to every glass he pushed back in return

A frustrated distiller instilled a suggest that he set forth to the North

The highlands of Scotland might hand him what he seeks for there are numerous brewers that hold their own casket of gold that might contain the unique grain therein he wishes to retain

Horn thanked the brewer and no sooner without delay he took a schooner to the North in seek of the Amazon replete

Eventually he met a proud Scotish distiller named William who was about to try something very arwy Well, at least in English eyes

To mix different whiskies from his stash of casks that numbered in the fifties

Horn initially seemed a prude about Will's elude but with lack of options Horn just said "show me the bottom" and so Will did just that mixing up one-hundred flasks all with different mixed concoctions of his own options

One after one Horn coming closer and closer to his undone until he had tasted all one-hundred caskets of Will's creations

Horn was soo wasted he was soon just pasted on the floor

When Will asked him what did he derive he took his shaky hand and inscribed a 69 squiggly line into the pine

So that was it vat number 69 would be henceforth consigned to the Amazon line

But given time humans would begin to appreciate it's unique taste making Mr. William Sanderson one of the most richest bespoke brewers we have ever spoke He would later found North British Distillery from the Amazon gold Horn did bestow to keep the flow of blended whisky conscribed for the Amazon line

When Jack jumped off the ship he immediately went to get fit into formal attire for his meeting with the Queen The Colonel yelled to Jack as he  hailed a carriage "What you require for desired effect before the Queen will be found downtown travel to a street known as Savile." "Ask for Mr. Poole he will school you in the new styles of formal attires to be seen before royalty."

Jack yells back "Thanks for the advise my clothing decide will have to be revised to properly represent my Amazon allies in the Queens eyes."

After making his way without delay to Savile street doorways Jack inquired a constable of Mr. Poole's domicile he pointed to the proximal locate of number fifteen a wooden sign hung with the inscribe of (Poole & Co.) So without further delay he stepped inside but was immediately dismayed when the tailor relayed "Mr. Poole has past away many years ago and is no longer with us."

Just then a stout gent descent from an upper stair to fulfill Jack's query

"My name is Sam I am Mr. Pool's cousin."

"Only those that are directed to ask for this name are the ones that are going to be seen before the Queen."

"It is a code to embold those that are told to seek Mr. Poole to tool and school them with our finest wares fit for only royalty."

"So, sir am I to assume you are to have attendance with the Queen?"

"May I ask you your name?"

Jack: "Forgive me my manners, I am Jack Jenasee Jr." "Recently delegated an ambassador for a small South American faction."

Sam: "I am Samuel Cundey but you must forgive my repeat did you say Jenasee?"

Jack: "Yes."

Sam: "My uncle left me his memoirs after his death and they mentioned something about the Queen covertly sending him with a team deep into the Amazon scene that resulted in rescue of a Jack Jenasee." "Would this man be relation in your situation?"

Jack: "That man you make mention would have been my father but his rescue was always in contention until just now with this information you endow." "Wow!"

Sam: "Our families were obviously connected but, enough with the relented." "Come my friend we will show you the finest threads to tread on royal grounds let me show you around."

Later after Jacks sitting for the tailors fitting Sam unhands documents for Jack to peruse when he chooses "These are the memoirs Uncle Henry left after his death." "They make mention of your fathers extricate and how they were classmates at Oxford Hopefully they will update your relate of your father to date

Jack: "Thank you Sam I am grateful to gain more relate of my father's fate."

Sam: "There was one thing that I couldn't bring more to light without more insight of uncle Henry's plight. Shortly after he was knighted by Queen Caroline his papers did make mention of a C.O.E. abbreviate but I had no relate to investigate more." "Did your father ever make mention of this acronym?

Jack: " No, this is the first I've heard these letters versed."

Sam: "Anyway my friend, it was great to make your acquaintance." "Your suit will be presented to your residence in a weeks time.

Jack hops into a carriage bound for a home he left well over a year ago The baggage on his mind still unclear to define a C.O.E. abbreviate or how a tailor rescued his father as of late The coachman leans down to his approach and asks the question of his destination Jack replies "To No. 5 Hamstead Ln Highgate London my good coachman and there's an extra shilling if you can make haste."

Later as Jack enters the family home he left well over a year ago a murky glooms looms in the room Dust has settled a fine cover over all that was left he hovers in the entry to sentry the assembly Shelves rife of heirlooms from the past Jenasee line aligned just as his father had left just before his death He then spies something out of sort a wooden box at the base of the family suit of armor Jack immediately goes on the attack and is taken quite aback assuming a thief having alterior motifs has broken in to steal from him He quickly loads and holds his father's gun to necessitate the intruders immediate extricate But after a through household sweep not a peep or rattle from the absent rabble that put the box in it's place

After his rage elapses he collapses onto the couch in a pout and begins to eye the box but then he spies an odd inscribe within a diamond outlay are the letters so distinct that make out C, O, E

Surely now this relate is no coincidence persay This day providence has shown up at the Jenasee door

These initials made the hair on Jack's neck bristle when spied He was now determined to learn their origin therein

He slowly opened the container and retained on a velvet pillow was willowed the most unique piece of jewelry his eyes have ever spied

A three inch diamond shaped piece of rainbow obsidian that bestow a luminous glow in the room

There was line of clear crystalline that encased within it's center was something that shook Jack to his core

Ivy's red hair interwound with black hair that he easily recognized as his fathers

Then, in the center was a green shard from a jewel that was obviously much larger and on it's surface was inscribed a number eight

With no relate Jack quickly questioned the gift that was left to him and thought

From the follicles obviously being symbolical of father's love for Ivy this must have belonged to him but, why go beyond to spawn the mystique of leaving it behind for me to find?

I see no signs of forced entry from my sentry so whoever left this package is obviously of a brackish character and chooses to remain aloof to stoop to snooping into homes

But, why?

Many hours later Jack settles in with a cup of Earle Gray to pervay Sir Henry Poole's memoirs with hope they may shed some light into his fathers plight

Sep 7th 1784

~ I was voted by my peers despite being only in my first year to the student union There I met a chap name Jack Jenesee We seemed to hit it off both coming from nought We both scoffed at the aristocratic masses in our classes So arrogant are they one day I heard Jack say "If it wasn't for your family lines buying your servants eyes to guide you wouldn't know which side to impregnate your brides."~

Jack laughed, yes fathers sense of humor had no rumor of subtlety It was always in your face and sometimes quite out of place

Dec 23 1784

~Jack, always having a knack for ancient text and maps He came running up to me today looking quite perplexed

Appearently, he had found hidden in plain sight a chart to a treasure beyond measure

It was scribed on papyrus so old I was told that Plato himself might of had his hands on this roll He had decrypted it from ancient Aramaic if someone were smart enough to seek a treasure soo repleate kept deep in the Amazon for one to reap they would be rich beyond conceive

He tried to convince me to invest into this crazy quest to test our best and sail South West

Though Jack is smarter than most people my need for gold isn't consoled by the lethal intent of a jungle that is hell bent on killing a man twofold

Jack said fine about my decline but I know him too well come hell or high water caring not about his possible slaughter I'm sure he would find a way to anchors away in a future day~

Just then, a knock at the door is bore Jack quickly opens it and a chap dressed all in black looking quite scrappy from her magesties messenger core stated "Mr. Jenasee come with me immediately, the Queen requests your presence I cannot understate the haste you need to make."

Jack: "Wait, did you just state Queen Victoria wants to see me?"

Messenger: "Immediately!" "She also said she would appreciate it if you would be discrete about this meet."

Jack: "Of course, let's go."

Jack looks back to grab his key before he leaves and spies out of the corner of his eye still sitting on the pillow the mystery piece of jewelry who's donor made him the new owner He grabbed it in a flash and tucked it neath his sash Just in case someone eyes his place while he was away

Jack is ferried to the Queen in a carriage almost unseen Painted all in flat black with curtains permanently tacked in place it made sure no one saw Jack's face He understood about being discrete but he felt there was more in store than he bargained for to go to these extremes to remain unseen

Flying down London streets at a very high rate of speed They made an odd turn into a hidden lane just off the main thoroughfare Jack couldn't help but stare not knowing this entrance was there As a youth passing by hundreds of times surprised he could have been so blind

They seem to go down a dimly lit tunnel then their hurried scram had them come out into the middle of the palace The messenger immediately pulled back the reins and yelled "WHOA!" to abstain them from hitting a wall The stalls of the stable is what Jack was able to see as he louted out of his ride still unable to abide all this secrecy in his mind

Once his footing was found a familiar face did bound down steps Colonel Creep as it seems was there to greet him But just as before he was whisked away with nary an implore The Colonel grabbed his arm stating quite stern "The Queen doesn't like to wait!" "Increase your gait to negate being any later!" So, notwithstanding he followed his lead and proceeded into Buckingham Palace.
