Tara Weds Adi

With the new age theme of live-in relationships, the protagonist of the film Adi Gunjal, a young Lucknow boy who is a video game developer residing in Mumbai who dreams of achieving success in the United States of America under Mark Zuckerburg. Little did he know that his plans will meet a sudden detour when he accidentally meets Tara Agnihotri .who is a recent architecture school graduate working with an architecture firm. Just like Adi, Tara has big dreams of going to Paris and pursuing further studies. The quintessential boy meets girl story takes place, they realize they love each other’s company more than anything and fall in love rather quickly. Both of them agree on being practical and decide to have a live-in relationship, spend the maximum amount of time until they are together, and evade the concept of marriage. Tara shifts in with Adi, who lives at a place rented to him by Gopi Srivastava 

Time passes by and unknowingly both Tara and Adi develop strong feelings for each other which go across the realm of just a live-in relationship. One night, Tara has a conversation with Gopi where she tells him that she might get her visa for Paris and leave soon and how hard it is for her to tell Adi. The next day, Tara goes to Jaipur for official work and Adi realizes how much he missed her. There is a really strong subplot introduced through Gopi and his wife, Charu, an Alzheimer’s patient who often forgets her way back to her own house, and the way Gopi loves and cares for her shows the importance of love.

Soon after, Adi is selected to develop games for the States and he just like Tara is in conflict as to how to break this news to her without hurting her emotions. The next day, both of them agree to spend their last 10 days together and enjoy the maximum keeping every other thing aside. But, nearing the last day, they start arguing and fighting on petty things although which do not stay for long 

One day, Charu goes missing again, and while Tara and Adi are looking for her, they continue arguing about their relationship, and out of nowhere Adi proposes to Tara for marriage and she says yes and they get married. Post marriage, both of them continue to achieve their dreams with Tara being in Paris and Adi being in The State
