Straight Talk (Seedhi Baat)

Vinay sat in the dark corner of the room remorse over what had happened a year ago due to one though small yet a very big reason that led to his loneliness.

He started rewinding all the incidents that reeled one after the other in a synchronized pattern as if they were the raindrops that dropped down on the earth's surface in the same manner with the little variation in the sound.

The first fight, one first teardrop that rolled down her rosy cheeks and emotionless look of hers is trying to figure out where did she actually go wrong. Shweta was just trying to get the head cleared of all the muddle and give it a fresh start. But somewhere his lust, the ego could not accept it and tried to suppress her through his male chauvinist attitude.

It was a year before their wedding bells rang that he was eyeing somebody else. They both were deep into each other and fell for intimate relationships. But since things fell differently they had to part their ways out deciding never to exchange glances even if they cross paths again ever in the future and give themselves a clean sweep. 

Then Shweta came into his life like a blessing, bringing showers of happiness. Two years then there was no looking back. They were basking in each other's company and enjoying their lives to the fullest.

One evening they had planned for dinner together and when they reached their usual restaurant he bumped into his past life and couldn't resist gazing at her all throughout their dinner. Instead of relishing the food in the company of his best woman, he was pondering over his past relationship and the time spent with her. Shweta unable to digest it tried to understand his weird behavior but he didn't allow her to enter his past. 

This didn't stop with their dinner but now he started spending time engrossed into his old blues and disturbed their present rosy days. Shweta not ready to accept this change and the daily cross confronted him about what was troubling him. She was in true sense worried about his professional career thinking it was disturbing their personal life and so wanted to calm him down. But his guilt took a wrong turn and spoilt her whole idea of dealing delicately. 

His unexpected behavior forced her to take stern action and step out of his house though not from his life. She acted in the most sensible manner that she could. While moving out Shweta just uttered, "I'm sure stepping out of this house but never will I move out of your life. I've given you this space to live with yourself and speak to me whenever you feel comfortable. Do remember I'm waiting." Those words pricked his inner conscience.

Finally, Vinay took one long year and thought now he can no more stay with his past and stab his present. He picked up his phone, and dialled Shweta's number and just said, " Can we have a straight to the point talk (Seedhi Baat). And the answer was " Waiting period is over forever. Always with open ears and heart, I stand here for you." Vinay couldn't control his tears and showered kisses on the phone.
