Story Vs Poem

Story- I am the oldest and most impactful.

Poem- How can you forget about me, no one can dare to deny potential of a poem.

Story – I am straight forward and acceptable to all, everyone can enjoy me, tell me and play with me. Do you have such quality?

Poem - I have the pleasure, my listeners are overwhelmed with my words and their meanings, my composer puts his heart in it and it is said men started sharing their feelings in poetic form. Great Epics are in poetic form.

Story- That’s why I am saying you are so elegant, so delicate, require specific skills for your creation, you sound appreciable and have a deep sense and filled with human emotions, I never deny it...

Poem- oh! Thanks, thanks . It’s enough. Never boast again in front of me!

Story- Dear, please let me complete my part then add your comments on it. I was saying about your unique features but don’t you think -your such peculiar uniqueness takes you far away from common people. They simply are not equipped with such tactics that they compose or understand the deep meaning of you. They just passed life and as time passed, effortlessly one thing was born - dear, that is none other than Story. Every child, every youth, old, cities, culture have a story. These stories are the foundation of their survival, culture and traditions.

Poem- Oh! That is great , but I am the true expression of heart. I am self-evolved and have a great insight and deep meaning in me. I am the one who makes human distinguish from other animals.

Story- Yeah…..but you are one kind of story. Story that has embedded deep meaning and emotions, it sounds like poetic, It is more on readers that how they extract from a story or poem.

Both have a blank canvas in background and readers fill it as per their relevance and enjoy story or poetry. Each poem or story has something to tell, sometimes easily expressed and sometimes meaning is hidden and it has to be found. It is the meaning that is the soul whether it is poem or story.

We are the carrier of those meanings. Yes, I agree with you, the ability to express his emotions and feelings make human superior to others.

Poem- yeah….. it is the very nature of time ,it move forward always and leave something behind. Time has so many dimensions that can be captured in that something. And that something is Stories and poems.

Poem and story laugh together and leave it on the readers what way they choose to express themselves, it is more important.
