Spoons & Forks
Spoons & Forks
10th April 2020
Dear Diary,
We had kept a set of cutlery, forks & spoons in an unused drawer for a very long time. Now it seems that the cutlery can remain where it is but the fancy spoons & forks will be required now. Since we are expected to avoid touching our face & mouth, I am trying to eat sabzi & chapati with fork & spoon. I am dividing the chapati into small bits & pieces as we generally do for kids to eat, and using a fork to pick it up. Using the spoon for eating the sabzi. The effect is not the same however but then I am creating a different hotel atmosphere at home. I am sitting by the table with a pretty tablecloth with frills spread over it, facing the balcony & breeze. The plants are swaying with the wind, as also the trees. Birds are tweeting & chatting. I am imagining that I am on some exotic island and that everything is just fine in God’s own world! After all, they say that happiness is all in the mind & very much within us!
