Sometimes a step back is the only way Forward

It was hard to figure out what to do!!

Yesterday, after covering a small part of my syllabus, I asked my sister to go outside(in society itself) for some fresh air. I am staying in Shriram society Bangalore and it was just like my home and garden for me. With the same thinking, we went outside to take a round. At first, I looked around to check whether guards are waking up or not. And I saw, one of them was keeping an eye on us. So, we felt safe and started roaming. After two turns, there were no guards. Suddenly, a guy whose home was just next to our society, he started calling us. It was around 11.30 Pm.

Normally, people roam in this society till late night, but, yesterday, there was no one. So, we got scared. And then, we felt that this voice is coming close to us. It was a dilemma and a moment where I found myself numb. After 4- 5 years I felt this fear. We thought of entering inside basement to take lift from there but then, I realized basement is not at all a good place. So, we returned back in the same way where there was one security guard. When I tried checking his position, he climbed in society's wall and continued to call us- Hey, Hello, Stop, listen, etc.

It was a weird feeling where I realized that a man can roam all alone at mid night but if a woman wants the same then, she should go with a man. "It was your fault, why did you go outside after 8Pm"? This is only for woman and not for man.

Men are safe because women create no fear for them but contradictory of the same sentence doesn't exist.
