She Knows The Best...

She Knows The Best...

For the last few days, I was not keeping well and was going through a low phase in my life. My personal and professional life both were in mess. Sometimes I think its not only a 'mid-life crisis' but we all go through this like a ‘quarter life crisis' as well. Actually, I think, I was going through the same.

That day was not any different, like any other usual depressing day (the Same story). I was irritated, frustrated, angry, lost somewhere in my thoughts thinking where did I go wrong, what could I have done to make things better. I was almost crying when my Mom came (she has always been an observant person) and without saying any word, she just gave me a tight hug. That touch, that feeling, that warmth said everything and somehow I knew that things would be all fine. Once again, I have realized how important she is in my life.

Sometimes, we just tend to get lost so much in our day to day lives, and that we are so much into our own stress and problems that we always forget how integral our mothers have been in our lives. She has always been there for me. I still wonder how she manages to listen every single word of mine with so much patience and always gives me advice on every aspect of my life. She always encourages me to do greater, and to go beyond my normal capacity.

I know our mothers may not always be correct or have the right opinion, but in most cases, we are the one who may not consider actually, I would rather say - fail to consider their advice and their feelings. It's our mistake. We need to respect and understand their true roles. It is only a mother who accepts us the way we are, without judging us, and even if we happen to be in the midst of something wrong, she takes in all that we have said and still love us no matter what.

My mother and I have always been like friends and like all best friends we have also gone through an abundant of experiences. Although, some bad, most good, we have our own fair share of fights and all… and I still believe that we will continue forward.

The mother-daughter relationship is the most powerful bond in the world; it is much more than just wishing your Mum on Mother’s Day. This special bond sets the stage for all other relationships. The only person who shall be with me forever.

My first role model, my first friend, my first love, my mother!
