Sacrifice : The Last Care

Long ago few people used to stay in a jungle. There was a boy and a girl as well. They did not know each other. But after some days they saw each other and started liking each other.They were very happy then.

 

One day it started raining heavily. Flood came and all died in that jungle. Luckily the boy and girl were safe. The flood washed away all the food they saved. They were hungry. No one was there to help them. So they decided to go in search of food.The guy told the girl to rest on a rock and told that he will be back soon with some food. The girl waited for the guy. She waited for hours. The guy did not come. She waited for few more hours, yet the guy did not come. She got worried and decided to go and search for him.

It was evening. Darkness was replacing the bright sunlight. She walked deep into jungle in search of the guy. She Searched a lot. It started raining again. Finally she cried a lot and sat on a rock. Then she saw the guy is dead and his body is lying beside the rock. And the guy was pointing his fingers towards the food he had collected for the girl.

The girl was broken very deeply. She was helpless; she cried cried cried and sat beside the guy for long time and was thinking something in that dark night.

My question is: 

What might the girl would be thinking and how she would have reacted when she saw the guy's finger pointing towards the food he collected...?
