River In Jaisalmer

What is this? I asked Santosh. Santosh is the local person who is accompanying me on my Jaisalmer Fort trip.

After seeing Ratneswar Mahadev temple and other temples, we came to a place. The place had a big rock and it indicates it is covering something downside.

Santosh explained to me about the mysterious water resource in the fort. In Treta yuga there is a river flowing near Jaisalmer. It is believed there is an abundant water resource in the fort. It might be a well that fetches water from the mysterious river which existed in the past.

After some time, due to the conditions at one particular period, the water resource has been closed.

It is closed by the big rocks forever. I tried to touch the rock and moved forward to experience another part of the fort.
