"Everything that you ever dreamed of, disappearing when you wake up" ....the song was stopped and the headphones were removed.

The whole world seemed to be at a standstill for Sam as she sat listlessly on the bus. The bus was headed somewhere, but Sam's future was not, at least to her understanding.

Sam was known for her precision and tenacity. She never let things go south. Everyone around her was so assured of her achieving what she had spent countless hours on. But, as life is nothing but a labyrinth of uncertainties, things do not end up as we anticipate.

The horrors of the circumstance, the endless cacophony in her head, the precariousness of the situation and the never-ending predictions of people seemed so exhausting that Sam was not left with even a single thread of emotion to be able to process what went wrong. The fear of not being able to face the facts and the hopelessness of reality transpired into internal conflicts and a lack of clarity in her thoughts.

As the bus passed by different stops; many people boarded the bus, some being exactly aware of their destination while others with a 'going with the flow' disposition. A handful of the ones onboard surrendered and disembarked.

Sam got up, walking towards the exit for her disembarkation from the journey. Just as she was about to leave, a hand from behind held onto her and pulled her back in.

That gesture was enough for her disconnected mind to get back to a conscious state wherein she was aware of her actions.

Sam figured out that maybe a dead-end is never the reason to leave such a beautiful journey designed by Providential hands.

She hoped herself to be fine eventually; also realising the impact of fellow passengers, how all have been wired to extend hands to their counterparts to allow them to heal from their gashes and come to terms with their reality.

".....disappearing when you wake up, But there's nothing to be afraid of, even when the night changes.....", and the song was continued, with the lyrics hitting hard.
