Ram Bharose (in the hands of Ram)

Lord Ram was tossing and turning in his sleep and moaning. Ma Sitha asked him concernedly "what is the matter? Prabhu. Lord Ram said "I am getting bad dreams about our kingdom Ayodhya. People dying, bodied floating on the Ganges while the present ruler is saying "all is well." Ma Sitha said "vayudoot Hanuman has flown there to get a factual report. He should be there tomorrow morning. You can get details then. Till then you can sleep." Lord Ram said  " that is right. Considering my dreams the news from Hanuman may not be good. I need a good sleep."

Nest day Hanuman was present at the palace at 9 am dot. Hanuman looked tired and weary. His appearance fore-bode of bad omens to Lord Ram. Ma Sitha gave a glass of hot cow milk to refresh him and some fresh mangoes as this was the season. Hanuman gobbled up the glass of milk and ate up a few mangoes. He was famished and needed some energy boost. He gave a satisfactory burp and began the story.

Hanuman said I have travelled the length and breadth of the Ayodhya kingdom and gathered reports from various sources. The entire state is badly affected by a pandemic. Here is my account he started.

At least 700 state government school employees on panchayat poll duty succumbed to COVID in Uttar Pradesh this month, the state teachers' union President said on Friday, underlining the risk of flouting COVID norms during a devastating surge in infections. Unfortunately, the government is in a denial mode.

As if this was not bad enough, I saw dead bodies floating in Ganges when I went there to have a bath. According to the residents in Balla district of Uttar Pradesh, at least 52 bodies were seen floating at the Ujiyar, Kulhadia and Bharauli ghats in the Narahi area.

The National Human Rights Commission has issued a statement and it said that it seems the public authorities have failed to take concentric efforts in educating the masses and checking the immersion of half burnt or unburnt dead bodies into the Ganga. Hanuman had tears in

his eyes. Ma Sitha took pity on him and offered a towel to dry up his face and a glass of water.

Then Hanuman continued I flew to Meerut and visited the hospital where lot of people affected by the pandemic. A person identified as Santosh has died there uncared for. This is what the Allahabad High court Judge Siddharth had to say "the entire medical system in villages and small cities of Uttar Pradesh is at God's mercy ("Ram bharose") while hearing a PIL over the coronavirus spread and the condition of quarantine centres in the state. The doctors there failed to identify him and disposed of the body as unidentified, according to a probe report.

Then I flew to Lucknow where the ruler who calls himself a monk and dresses as one said to the news reporters "Beat 1st wave, halted 2nd, ready to face 3rd. This monk is putting up a brave front against the edifice of crumbling state.

My lord said Hanuman "wherever I go people are saying Ram bharose. People have no more faith in the governance and they have left it to you. If it was in my powers, I would have lifted the entire state and brought it for you to see." I cut short my trip as I could not witness sorrow of the people and came over night to report to you at once.

Lord Ram said "what can I do? My avatar was over eons ago. Now we have left it to people to elect their own government. This land has shown has chosen the parliamentary form of government and they vote based on their choice. I must admit the choice is not good enough. I have heard that people have collected a lot of money to build a temple for me. I wish they could have mobilised funds to build hospitals and schools. You cannot go overboard in your bhakti. Gods have their own place in the scheme of things. They cannot interfere in the affairs of the human. "

With that he thanked Hanuman and told him to take some rest. He said addressing no one change has to come from within the masses. They need to wake up and distinguish between the chaff and the grain. In that lies their liberation.
