Petrichor

Petrichor is the smell of rain, on a rainy night, the most calming scent in the atmosphere is petrichor.

The way the rain slaps on the widows as it heavily falls on the ground makes you feel like staying at home, reading a book, listening to music and enjoy the view from outside.

Getting a cup of tea and staring out the window has always been a great way to clear conflicting thoughts.

But stepping out of the house to go twirl in the rain isn't a bad option either. Getting soaked in the rain, drops of water clouding your vision, is another experience.

Whatever type of person you are on a rainy day, whether you enjoy sitting inside with a cup of warm tea and a book or you enjoy dancing in the rain, you can't disagree with the fact the smell of rain is calming.

Whenever you want to unwind, I suggest sitting out while it's raining and enjoying, whether from a distance or not, the sweet smell of water droplets meeting earth.
