People or Peephole ?

I take a stroll and see people in hustle all around, clambering over each other to come first, devoid of emotions or empathy, the cacophony is deafening sometimes. No one seems to take a step back and introspect that what is happening, why are we all in such a meaningless rush? Achieving goals and setting targets is not unconstructive, but the HEART is lacking. Slow down a bit, take a deep breath, experience communion with the Almighty, inculcate empathy, disseminate love and affection. Goals and targets will keep changing and evolving, but the character has to match with the actions. I call people peephole because I feel I can see right through them and tell how insecure everyone has become in these taxing times. Hardly anyone extends a hand to lift someone else up, they see people falling and wish they never get back up. Have we really arrived at this dismal and disheartening stage?
