Our Constitution

Though our country got its independence on 15th August in1947, it took two and a half years for our constitution to come into effect. Our constitution came into effect on 26th January 1950 and from that day the tradition of celebrating 26th January as Republic Day started. The first parade for republic day was held in the year 1955. After getting independence from British rule in 1947, India was not a self-ruled country.it was still living on the rules made by the British. India became a self-governing country when its constitution came into effect in 1950”. We will be celebrating our 71st republic day. On this auspicious day, let us all remember those legends who laid down their lives for our well-being to make this nation free and the people who incrementally brought the world’s longest constitution in being like Br Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi. Our constitution is really a thing to be celebrated as it a mixture of almost 60 constitutions and the world longest constitution.
