They always told me that I write well and one day I will become an established author. But I wondered how, when, and where and always believed that the opportune time will come. Like any middle-class person burdened with family and financial responsibilities, I waited for Tomorrow. I saw friends of my school and college having mediocre capacities getting ahead of me, visiting places, getting married, having kids, and enjoying their conjugal life. And here I was delaying the future or procrastinating the future. I remember the motto of my school: '' The need of the time is the will of God!" meaning when something needs to happen by the will of God, a person needs to understand what best he can do in the time constraints he is in.

This Durga puja, due to COVID restrictions the number of pandals was very less in Delhi, where I live in a semi-furnished flat with my parents. My father always said not to waste the precious seconds of life because it can neither be revisited or changed. Your achievements remain your achievements similarly your failures are also left as imprints that can't be erased. Hearing his words of wisdom I felt that since I was sitting idle why shouldn't I do an orientation course in Gandhian studies. From Biotechnology to Human Resources now Gandhian studies my friends and family were getting confused about what I wanted to do with my life.

The life of Mahatma always inspired me to treat everyone as equal on merit, not to discriminate and if you are true to your goals, one day your dream will eventually become a reality.

Everyday in the orientation course I paid attention and understood how a man can reach heights if he understood his true self on the path of self-discovery. The day came when the course came to an end and I was awarded a certificate. For the first time I felt happy in fulfilling my heart's wish, while my friends opined in heated discussion about the superiority of Bose vs Gandhi.

But I would pacify them by telling every view has a place in this world. As in Bengali they say: " Joto mot toto poth" which means as diverse the views are, so are the ways to reach salvation.

In Mahadashami as people were busy in immersion of the idol bringing an end to festivities it was time to weave new dreams for the new year. Artists would once again bring life to the goddess with their hard work and dedication. It was time to look ahead.

An e-mail in my inbox at the dead of the night suddenly caught my attention. It was an invitation from the best Tv channel to present my views about Gandhian philosophy on prime time on the occasion of 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. I was thrilled that my face would be viewed by 1. 4 billion people. I always wanted to feature on TV for all the right reasons.

Finally the tomorrow came. My life tremendously changed after that. After all we have the eternal wish to leave our imprints on the sands of time.

I could see after the rain, the rainbow and the hues bringing a message of a prosperous, enlightened and better new tomorrow.
