My husband and I had our first meeting.

It was my office hour, and I felt peaceful as I glanced at the ragged clock that surrounded my arms. My father stepped from behind the shadow of the door and invited me to see Anshul for a marriage match the next day. At first, I was taken aback. To be effective, I needed to look good. So I dashed out to the salon and purchased a traditional robe for myself.

The weather was nice and clear during the day. My mom and I drove to Sarojini Nagar to visit Haldiram's. It was a busy spot at DLF Square Mall, just next to the bustling main market. They were playing Bollywood music. The dish was a fusion of various cuisines.

Anshul approached the staircase. In the mirror, I could see his reflection.

He was with a coworker. My mother replied quietly that he is a veterinarian who makes a good living.

We sat down, and Anshul greeted us with admiration. His abrupt tone caught me off guard. His soft arms were folded and his intriguing gaze was avoiding me.

My father purchased Papri chaat for us. I left the piece since it was as hard as granite to break, and I figured no one would notice. We were then left alone to converse with one another. Anshul appeared at ease, his emotions flushed like burnished copper. He just stated that he would like to keep his parents because they are elderly and he takes care of them. I observed his feelings and beautiful reasoning. With a happy grin, I answered to Anshul, "I feel the same way."

After that, we talked for approximately an hour. He was a charming coffee drinker with attractive cheekbones and lustrous hair. His friends describe him as an introvert. That's the kind of man he was. He even got a scared puppy to save his life once.

We approved of the marriage. He now mocks me for not being able to eat a single papri. Even though he was not looking at me, he was still observing me..
