The Cottage By The Sea

_I wake up in my cottage by the sea. In my garden, on my rocking chair, sea in front of me, I sip tea. I walk by the beach till the sun is right over my head. I am free from office politics, free from survival mode._

_I look in the mirror and I don't recognize myself. I look 20 years younger, not because I didn't age, but because age has completely stopped. I am so peaceful from within. My soul is thanking me for choosing this life. It breathes so freely. I am so happy, so peaceful._

_My soul tribe is there. I didn't ask Universe for a face or a name. I just asked, if you send someone, send someone who loves me for who I am, who respects me immensely. And he is there. We sit by the sea in silence. We walk. He plays soulful songs on his guitar for me and we sing together. We cook together. So peaceful._

_I am a life coach online. People love connecting with me on video calls. My presence calms them. And as a pastime, I write stories, because I always wanted to be an author._

_I have no attachment to money. Money comes organically, from every soul I connect with. It is enough and more than enough to live this peaceful cottage life, and enough to help non-privileged people immensely._

_So many people come to my cottage. I guide them, mentor them, and they leave happy, liberated, light. They thank me immensely from their heart. I teach non-privileged people, make them educated. And they love me in a humanly unimaginable way. The respect I never got in office, I finally get here, genuinely, from every soul attached to me. And I think — Thank God I chose this life._

_There is a life force that guides me and protects me like a baby. I thank the Universe every single day. Not just in my future, but even today. I am ever thankful._

_My future self on the rocking chair says to my present self: "I love you Kakoli, for not losing the trust in this Universe. I love you for making it to this peaceful cottage life. I am so proud of you that you existed, that you took the courage to breathe and made it here. Give your best self, in sync with the Universe who is your biggest guardian. With zero responsibilities, you are free. You are a free bird."_

_And that one breath after 10 years — It is so liberating. In my garden I have huge idols of Maa Kali and Krishna in their altars. I hug Maa Kali and I hug Lord Krishna tightly, because they were the only ones who protected me as my mother. I lost my mother years back. Krishna is my soulful friend, my guardian. I hug them so tight and thank them immensely for this beautiful life I never imagined beyond imagination. They are not only my deities, they are my everything. They are the love of my life.
