MADNESS
MADNESS
I look out of the dark window,
Out to the light, I peek,
The setting sun like a pink flamingo
As the last of the day's love goes bleak.
I hear screaming and yelling outside,
Someone's dead in the street,
The slayer's vanished; to run and hide,
Everyone ignores; steps over the dead meat.
Anarchy runs wild and aflame,
Order trapped and chained,
But to me; they're both the same,
The last hope; dried and drained.
We claim ourselves to be "evolved",
But a piece of paper runs our lives,
Science mysteries; we may have solved,
But what'll we do when dread arrives?
Everyday we grow less human,
More and more of something else,
Killers, kidnappers, and thieves inhuman,
We desire heaven, we walk in the hells.
Nobody's civil, everyone's a demon,
We all want ourselves and more,
But when death comes we'll trip and run,
And walk right into hell's door.
I say don't fear madness,
Jealousy makes them ignore 'crazy people,
I say, embrace the insanity and become bad,
Religion's a lie, the temple and the steeple.
They claim to be normal and stable,
But evil and madness have faster grown,
But to survive, they'll be unable,
And in the darkness, I'll stand alone.
