Love is like a gravitational force

Love is like a gravitational force

Jasper had always considered himself a grounded person. He was cautious, pragmatic, and careful to keep his feet planted firmly on the ground. His universe was predictable, filled with neat patterns, and he liked it that way. That was until he met Mira. Meeting her was like watching the moon for the first time; he had always known it was there, but now it was drawing him toward it, bright and unmissable.

It happened gradually, like the pull of a faraway planet, but soon he found himself arranging his routines just to pass by her favorite café or waiting by the park in hopes of bumping into her. He would sometimes catch himself staring at the places where he’d last seen her, wondering how it was possible that she had left such an imprint on him. Jasper found himself orbiting her, pulled by a force he couldn't name or resist.

Mira, on the other hand, felt her own pull. She was a dreamer, drifting from city to city, her life as unpredictable as the waves on a shore. When she first met Jasper, she barely noticed him; he was a small star on the periphery of her galaxy, an ordinary speck in her vast universe. But as she continued to encounter him, time and time again, she began to feel something stirring within her, a gentle but insistent pull. Soon, he was not a distant star but a blazing sun, and her world was revolving around him.

The two of them began to fall into each other’s orbits, their lives bending around one another like planets caught in each other’s gravity. Jasper’s steady presence began to ground Mira, while her vibrant spontaneity lifted him out of his predictable routines. They spent their days walking through city streets, chasing sunsets, sharing stories, and even their silences seemed to have a rhythm of their own.

But, like any celestial body, they faced forces that threatened to pull them apart. Distance, life’s responsibilities, and the fear of vulnerability tugged at their delicate balance. There were moments when they drifted, pulled by other commitments and forces beyond their control. Yet, even when they moved apart, there was always a magnetic force pulling them back together.

They came to realize that love, like gravity, wasn’t something they could see, touch, or explain in words. It was simply there, a force drawing them together, as inevitable as the tides. No matter how far they drifted, they would always find their way back, orbiting each other with the quiet, unbreakable pull of true love.
