Little Devil Dog
Little Devil Dog
Once I saw a little dog,
Who was sitting on a wooden log;
I picked it up with a curious face,
Thinking it would have been lost in case.
When I noticed its ears,
Which seemed to be replaced with tiny red spheres,
Which looked like a devil’s horns,
And the dog had small wings on its arms.
I was scared a bit, but took it home,
So that the tiny dog would not feel alone.
When I showed the dog to mom, she looked horrified,
She opened her mouth to say, as her eyes opened wide.
I waited for her to answer, as she kept staring,
I waited more, with a feel of ensnaring.
When at last she burst out laughing saying, “Do not assume,
That the dog is not a devil, it’s just a costume!”
I laughed and laughed too, looking at the dog,
Who had curled up in my hands, like a hedgehog!
I asked mom that can I keep him,
She readily said yes, with a big grin.
I named the dog Lucky,
And I played and played with it merrily,
I also raised my dog fairly,
So, I and Lucky lived happily!
