As the waves crashed into the rocks the lighthouse keeper miserably sighed and went off to write in his journal with an old fashion ink pen. He kept on hearing that same thought in his head which was...' I want to go outside... and have freedom from the ocean and lighthouse' but he couldn't go. He had a job and is going to be forever stuck on that tiny island. As the rays of shining beams on the light house was burning through the gloomy night to give brightness to the sky, the light keeper hid in the far, back, corner. He had always despised the light from the house. Unfortunately all alone, the lighthouse keeper looked through the window dreaming to have friends but as soon as his fantasy had grabbed him, moments later he would snap to reality, the reality with no friends.

CRASH! The lighthouse keeper jumped in shock. He dashed upstairs to see what type of problem awaits him. He could already the smoke going up his nose. Soon he dreaded that this would turn into a really bad situation. He was right! He tried to spot the incident, looking left, right, and everywhere around. He found it, the engine stopped which meant the light stopped as well. The lighthouse keeper ran upstairs to another floor in a rush.

As he went upstairs panic flooded his head. The bulb wasn't working! Then he heard the very sound that would crunch himself up and never work again. His eyes caught a glimpse of a........... ship! It came closer and closer every minute the keeper blinked. The man started to worry, he couldn't take the pressure and as the guilt took over his head he started to cry. He cried and cried until the water from his eyes soaked up. The lighthouse keeper eventually found his ground and stood back on his feet. He still didn't give up. He tried to help the person with the ship as much as he could by giving directions but, it wasn't enough. The person couldn't see and his ship crashed into the rocks. Worse for the man, the boat tipped and the person fell. He couldn't see though the pitch-black atmosphere. He tried to hold on to a rock but had no luck. The man was shoved by the intense waves onto the sharpest edge of the rock.

The rocks brutally stabbed him in the chest giving him a permanent damage though his body. As the man screamed for help with his last breath hoping someone would come for the rescue but no one was seen. The lighthouse keeper was frozen in fear and couldn't move. He stood completely still and watched as the man slowly died into his doom. After that the lighthouse man could not be trusted to hold such great responsibility and was fired right on the spot the next day. He did get his freedom but had always had the guilt of killing a man. It drove him crazy and he wouldn't rest until he could say sorry. The man went into a mental hospital and spent the rest of his life in there.
