Lift Carry Lover- Part 2
Lift Carry Lover- Part 2
The next day, I woke up earlier than usual. I was really excited about what was in store and couldn't wait to meet Diya. As I was having my breakfast, I received a call from Diya. I picked up the call and started the conversation.
"Good morning, Diya."
"Good morning, Karthik. I'm getting my car today, so I'll pick you up at the bus stop."
I said okay and left my house to reach the bus stop. Diya arrived there in about 10 minutes in her Maruti Suzuki Swift, and I got into the car.
"Hey, Diya, thank you for picking me up."
"Don't mention it, Karthik."
"Diya, why were you travelling by bus yesterday even though you have a car?"
"Oh, I had given my car for service. That's the reason I took the bus yesterday. I usually travel to my office in my car. What about you? Don't you have a vehicle?"
"I have a car at home, but my dad takes it to work, so I travel by bus."
"Don't you have a bike?" she asked.
I replied, "No, Diya. I don't like riding bikes."
She laughed and asked, "Why?"
"I don't know. I never enjoyed riding them. I don't even know how to ride a bike properly."
She replied, "Don't worry, I'll teach you how to ride a bike," and winked at me.
I was shocked to know that she knows how to ride a bike. I asked her, "How come you know how to ride a bike? Who taught you?"
She laughed and asked, "Why are you so shocked? Haven't you seen a girl riding a bike before?"
"I have, but I never thought you would know how to ride a bike. You surprise me a lot."
She laughed and replied, "There is still a lot you don't know about me," and winked.
As we continued our conversation, we arrived at the tech park, and Diya dropped me off at my office and bid me goodbye. The day went by as usual, with both of us completing our work and texting each other whenever we were free. It was time to leave, and Diya had also arrived and was waiting to pick me up.
While we were heading back home, I received a call from my mother who said that she and my dad were going out for a family function and had left the house keys near the pots. Diya overheard the conversation and asked me, "Karthik, do you want to go out for dinner?"
I replied, "If you are okay with going out with me, I'm okay."
She replied, "Of course, I am. That's why I asked you. I heard that your parents aren't at home, so I thought we could go out and get to know each other better."
I said okay and asked her, "So, is this officially our first date?" jokingly.
She laughed and replied, "Maybe."
She called her mother and informed her that she would be eating outside.
We then went to a nearby restaurant and ordered our dinner. We continued our conversation and had a good time getting to know each other. When we went to wash our hands, I was standing behind her, waiting for my turn. She turned around after washing her hands, but since we were of the same height and she was wearing heels, our lips accidentally touched for a moment. I was really embarrassed and apologized, saying it was an accident. She told me not to worry about it. As we walked back to the car, I tripped over a tile and sprained my ankle.
"Are you okay, Karthik?"
"Yes, Diya, I'm fine," I replied. I tried to get up, but as soon as I stood up, I couldn't bear the pain and was about to fall again. Diya held me to prevent me from losing balance. I thanked her and put my arm around her shoulder, attempting to walk, but I couldn't due to the pain. Then Diya said, "Karthik, I think you're in a lot of pain and can't walk. Let me help you." The next minute, I was in her arms. Yes, she cradle-carried me. By the time I could regain my senses, she had placed me in the car.
"Wow, Diya! That was really unexpected," I said. "You are really strong."
"Didn't I tell you, Karthik? I am full of surprises, and what's the use of my strength if it won't come to use when my friend needs it."
I was really excited and still thinking about how effortlessly she had cradled me when Diya asked me, "Karthik, I hope you weren't embarrassed when I carried you?"
"Embarrassed? Me? Why would I be embarrassed?" I replied.
"You know, some guys don't like it when a girl is stronger than them."
I broke the ice and told her how I liked strong girls. "You know, Diya, I have a thing for strong girls, especially tall, strong girls like you."
She had a bright smile on her face and said, "Wow, Karthik. Now I understand why you came and started a conversation with me at the bus stop."
I gave her a smile.
We reached my house, and Diya got out and came to cradle carry me again. I resisted and said, "Diya! Are you mad? You can't carry me here. What if the neighbours see us?"
"Come on, Karthik, the lights are off, so they must have gone to sleep."
I couldn't resist, and she carried me inside my house and placed me on the sofa. She then kissed me on my forehead and said, "Hope you had a good time."
I don't know what came over me, but I held her hand and told her, "Diya, I love you. You are my dream girl, the girl I fantasize about every day. Will you be mine, Diya?"
Diya smiled and then sat on my lap, facing me, and before we knew it, we were kissing each other.
