Life And Hope

Life And Hope

So recently i visted non sleeping and busiest city of my country "Mumbai and Thane". i was very excited to visit and explore local market and places to see what are they selling, all crowd and hustle bustle.

I went to Thane west market "jhambali" and i never thought that it will give me a life lesson.

While i was exploring things and searching for umbrellas, well umbrellas specifically because it rains heavily in Mumbai and outskirts and you cant step out without umbrella.

So while i was searching for it an old man aged between 65-70 approached me to but things from him.

i I stopped and had a glance at him, his face was pale, his hands were full of umbrellas and sack full of items, his shoulder was carrying towels but his eyes: his eyes were full of hope, a hope that I would buy things from him and he would earn for his daily needs.

He looked very tired his hands were shaking, his body was shivering.

For few seconds thought hit my mind and heart that what must be the suitation he is going through, why he is working hard at this age where mostly people at this age seek retirement and enjoy life. This man is struggling with hope in his eyes.

A tear rolled down my eyes.

I started looking for umbrellas and found that they were too big and not what i was looking for.

So i bought towels from him, his hope went hugh and he started opening his sack and showed me bedsheets and insisted me to buy, i really didn't needed it so i refused.

He again asked me to buy umbrellas but i refused.

i handed him money for towels and he opened his plastic wallet to return me change.

That plastic wallet made me realise how hard is to earn money, how hard is life without money, this man is struggling so much yet he has not given up hope.

He is working hard and not complaining.

he is just hoping that things will change and continuing with his hard work.

He handed me change, seeing through his eyes i felt bit bad so i handed him some extra money.

i know i cant end his struggle but atleast for that moment he was happy.

That smile on that tired and pale face had some inner peace.

I left that place but i learned and realised that no matter how hard is life just DONT GIVE UP.

untill your body is working keep doing hard work and dont beg for anything.

life is not always good and smooth be prepared for anything anytime.

A big thankyou to that man and i pray he find peace and his struggle ends soon.
