Is It Love?
Is It Love?
Her eyes were emerald green with golden hair and a Caucasian complexion though she was a native. I remember the day when I first met her or rather her hairs and could not even dare to see at her side due to shyness.
It was the end of March of year 2002 when we came for a test for admission at a new school. She met my mother and had a casual talk while I was still pushing hard solving maths problem upstairs.... And that was my first and last chance to befriend my Life's first crush.... Heena and yes I couldn't dare even to see her enough to have a psycho talk....
Well I was hopeful to catch her at the classroom... My eyes were searching for her at the very first day. It was a really unusual feeling as to why I was worried for a person whom I met just a day before but the goddess of fate were spurning a different story....
Yes it wasn't Heena and my story rather it was the story of Heena and Mayank.
By the end of the day I came to know she was admitted into some other section...
Things didn't end here... I was really very optimistic about making it to her.
For the next six months I peeped outside the classroom windows to get a single glance of her while I still used to beaver away in the unnecessary maths remedial.
I managed to get grades good enough to change my section in the mid-term leaving maths... I ended up in the same section...
Maths was really never lucky for me indeed... I came to know she was already involved with someone named Mayank her classmate by the end of November... and then four long years of hope and only hopes...!
We were in same class from eleventh standard and my heart would really sink when I used to see Mayank and Heena holding hands in the class while Amit Sir would solve differential equations....
I would curse my fate when I used to listen gossips about their affair... Mayank teaching her computer at her home.... dropping her home with his bike.. Behind the taxi...
Well four years passed and I must say they really made an awesome couple...
Nevertheless I was happy for them until I recently heard about them... yes they broke up..!!
I would have been the second most astonished buddy when I found the truth.
Mayank was selected for a NIT and She, for a private regional college... and it was from Heena's side......
How could she...????
I mean they were so good.... Everyone had the same notion so was I... ”She used Mayank..." said one of my old batch mate. Mayank was the second topper of our batch with Heena being the first... He used to help Heena a lot... tutor her at programming... drop her home and a lot stuff....
I still find all those stuff "Use things not people, love people not things.." in Mayank's profile... To tell about Mayank he is handsome and talented enough to get involved afresh... but I know it is finally what matters most is....
I think I was lucky enough..!!
