Our grocer’s store was always full of mystery and crime stories. This also benefitted our grocer as he would earn a much greater sale of his meagre quality goods out of it. This morning I and Tony visited the grocer to probe about a case to which the grocer’s wife responded very nippily and sharply as if trying to prove that she was a better detective than Tony. The questions we asked were simple.

“Did you find that man holding some ammunitions?” “Yes I did” “What was it?” “Maybe a gun or two” “For what did he visited you?” “To know the address” “Whose?” “Tony’s”

The grocer’s wife meant to say that the criminal was after our Tony. Tony re enquired,” Whose address did you give?” To which the foolish woman replied grinning, “What whose address? Of course yours, I remember your address very well!” We were sure that the woman was cooking up stories in order to make us buy her low quality goods so we decided to move off quickly.

“Tony what do you think, did she spoke the truth?” “Maybe!” “But when she was speaking her left eyelid was blinking and her right vein was bulging out…”

The very next day it was the grocer at the BCIA. He was primed to lodge a complaint against Robert, who was a very rich merchant residing in Uzanbazar. The grocer was dressed in blue and he took a Gamosa with him every time he went out of his shop. His left hand had some serious wound marks and his right was too durable to lift up twenty kilograms easily. However today he was fanatical. Actually his brother died a few weeks ago and now adding to his grief his shop was robbed. According to the CCTV footage it was a gang of three man outfitted in black and a lady dressed in violet. The grocer claimed to have seen this lady before in his shop once or twice but does not recollect her name or address. But that was not an issue. A photo of her prepared with the help of a proficient artist was ample for us to get hold of her and from her we can straightforwardly get hold of the entire gang. This was all what a regular human like you and I would think but the real detective was scheduling something else.

Tony went to Happy Villa to meet Mr. Robert against whom the complaint was lodged by the grocer.

Tony said, “Hi! Are you Mr. Robert, a merchant…?” “Yes I am, but who are you and for what are you at my doorstep?” “Sir, actually I am James of Santipur. I have a small business and I needed some help out of you to…, will you?” Tony said. “What sort of a help you desire? Money or…” “No sir, actually it’s a wine shop and I needed a licence but that encompasses a lot of official procedures and that particular region where my shop is, is not fit for that… I wanted you to talk with the IAS and make me a license out of it.” “Mr. James I am not interested at all in your business moreover I have a lot of drudgery to accomplish so you may prefer to leave now.” “But sir what if I pay?!” “It may work then” “How much?” “Rs. 1, 00,000 in cash” “Think it’s done sir, see you tomorrow”.

You may be wondering how did the case of the grocer go and associate with the wine shop, but don’t worry it is all planed.
