Episode 3.

A family in Burari (episode 3 )

We were digging into Lalit's dairies in the last episode. It's highly recommended to first visit the last 2 episodes for smoother reading.

There is a misconception that all the dairies were written by Lalit only. Later when Handwriting experts examined them, they found that there are 2 to 3 different handwriting patterns. Which says that when Lalit was not in good condition someone else used to maintain it and write what Lalit said. According to experts, there is a high chance that Priyanka used to maintain it.

In numbers there were 11 dairies, some articles say it register and some say notebook. But we will refer dairies.

These dairies are major clues to this case. That's why police have secured it tightly. All are not publically available. We all know why, some people can go crazy after reading these and also do the same thing. After all, there is no lack of lunacy in our society.

Where a person can kill hundreds to go to heaven and another can declare a woman a witch, nothing seems to be impossible here.

Although media have got some pages during 2018. If I will read this diary in front of you, you can say it like a Satsang book, the ones Baba reads.

What is written in these dairies is on one side, the important thing is in the way it is written. We can understand the mindset of Lalit's family through the dairies.

We will look into them thoroughly later, but I will read some major points as samples.

The page in front of me says something like this...

Dhyan rakho , apni galti sun kar man chhota mat karo. 

Jo galti pata chali hai , use swikar kar aage badho .

Bartaman ki baat karo , bhavishya apne aap hi achha hoga.

Arthik wa mansik parisani ka samna to ekjut hokar kiya jaa sakta hai. Is baat par nirvar hai ki tum use kis tarah sambhal ne ke layak ho .

Tumhari uplabdhiyan tumhari swayam hai , wo tumse door nahin ho sakti.

Galtiyo se sunischit ho kar aage badho , bita hua samay beet gaya hai aur aane wala samay abhi aaya nahin.

( Basically, it says .. don't feel low after knowing mistakes and moving on is the best thing. The present is going on and the future is to happen yet. To fight economic and mental problems, you all have to come together. )

You can understand and assume what is written on this page, a large part of the dairies are filled with such advice.

If every page were filled with these, then it could be a motivational diary.

But, no.

This Road to God series started on 8 July 2007. But the first mention of Bhopal Singh Ji came on 7  September 2007. It said ...

Pua Parivar Daddy (Bhopal Singh ji ) ki Ek black and white photo samne rakhe aur unhe yaad kare .

(To sit in front of Daddy's black and white photo and to think about him )

This line is from "The Hindu"...

Man me dhyan rakho ki Daddy meri purani aadatein chhut jaye .

(Consider that, my old habits will go away )

We can see the gradual mental deterioration of Lalit through his words.

I can compare these dairies with artist Louis Wain. You can google it.

LOUIS WAIN, he used to draw paintings of Cat. If you see his old paintings, they were quite realistic and beautiful. But in the later stages of life, his paintings became quite different and negative, meaning abstract pattern. Experts say this happened to him after he became a victim of Schizophrenia. 

Gradual deterioration of LOUIS WAIN'S  mental health.

That disease changed his way of looking and imagination of a cat. This is relatable to Lalit's case, in which the dairy shows the gradual deterioration of his mental health.  

The delusion that he brought back Daddy into him, he gradually channeled into his family members.

The way Lalit has written this feels like Bhopal Singh Ji himself guiding the family. Like there is mention of a quarrel between family members and ill habit of kids towards the phone. And it's also mentioned, how to punish family members for their wrong deed.

There was a punishment for Lalit and his wife Tina to sleep on the floor also in one incident. By the way, Lalit and Tina were praised many times in those dairies. 

It clearly shows, how Lalit made delusion of the incidents of daily life.

Lalit was slowly getting mentality sick. 

And rest of the family, I can say only one word for them pholiadu, it is a French word (Folie à deux). In English Shared psychosis. Means loss of belief in the reality of many people simultaneously.

If you remember the last episode, where we discussed how the family was in grief after the death of Bhopal Singh Ji. And how they latched on Lalit's claim of bringing back Bhopal Singh Ji.

By the way, I don't want to blame Lalit here. He himself was a victim of mental illness.

Here we can only blame the situation and weak health infrastructure of our country. And carelessness of our society towards mental health.
