"Dear, playing this guitar and prancing around should just be a hobby. Start preparing for your university exams. They are going to land you a good job. This guitar and all won't earn money for you. Only your engineering will.", he could still remember his mom coercing him to study whenever he would pick up his guitar to practice.

Before every competition, when he felt the need to practice for hours, he would remember his mom advising against, criticizing, and shouting out aloud about his choices. He knew, his mom only wanted the best for him, yet, he could never give up on his love for music. He had even chosen engineering instead of a proper course in music to appease his parents, but he simply could not let go of his love for music.

Then came the day of the toughest decision of his life, when he had graduated and thanks to this competition he had participated in, received the opportunity to be a part of the band he absolutely adored. He knew he would hurt his parents by not choosing a job as they had always wanted him to, but he decided to give in to his dreams at last.

And today, as he stood in front of the massive crowd cheering for his band in the prestigious Hollywood Bowl in the USA, he felt all of the pain, the dilemma within his mind fading away. He felt the thrill of it all. This is what he had always wanted and now he's living the life of his dreams, woven by his persistence. This is what, he thought, success tasted like.
