At borders, paramilitary personnel are the first line of protection. Essentially, during peacetime, they handle our vast borders with hostile countries. Only when there is an external threat or conflict do these paramilitary groups withdraw and the Army takes control of the borders. As a result, we can be proudly recognizing to as our country's peacekeepers.

Ramesh Babu completed his tenure at some Western front and was now due for short-term peace station postings. He had chosen a city in Bihar that was close to his hometown. Ramesh Babu now wanted to take advantage of every holiday and mix it with some pre and post fix leaves to spend time with his family. He preferred his family to remain settled in this hometown because he was on regular postings that were often severe. It's preferable for his family to be with community members at his hometown.

Ramesh Babu could secure a bachelor's accommodation in his new place of posting. After getting acquitted with job routine, he was always hunting for leaves. Despite owning a Car, he frequently rode his Bullet with a small backpack. He would only use his car for transportation during the monsoon season.

He requested early leave from his Commander today to take advantage of the greater duration Monday holiday. He now has three days to spend with his family in Bihar. However, he had insignificant Migraine since the morning and was hence cranky. He went to his bachelor's accommodation to get some lunch before his travel home. He felt nauseated after eating and took a short snooze. However, he was awakened by a knock on his door for evening tea. It was almost 6 p.m., and the good news was that his migraine had subsided.

He showered and headed to the common mess to get some munchies. His comrade from the other regiment suggested that he forego his hometown visit this time and accompany him to a pet store.

Despite his reluctance, he became Veetal on his bike after finding merit in his colleague's statement. Both went to the city's lone pet store, which was a bit farther from the main bazar area. Ramesh Babu's colleague became preoccupied with the fishpond, as he sauntered through the Dog's section. He was drawn to a 15-day-old Golden Retriever puppy. Because the shop owner being an Ex-servicemen, he simply stated, "You can have him at my buy price." Your family would be thrilled to have him if your intent to take him to your hometown.

Ramesh Babu agreed and purchased the puppy. He made it obvious that the next time he visits, he will take him to his hometown. He grabbed milk and dog food at his places to stay. The next two days of vacation were devoted to comprehending and feeding the dog. In a month, the Golden Retriever gained weight and became self-sufficient.

Despite having a weekly off and a clubbing break, he stayed with his Golden Retriever for two months. They became close. Pressure mounted once more on Ramesh Babu to head back to his ancestral home. Under duress, he requested two days' leave in advance. However, the Commander had an assignment that needed to be completed and was unwilling to let him leave.

Today was typical Friday, and Commander was arguing at the time, and Ramesh Babu was not in the mood to take a hit. He stormed out of his chamber, yelling Jai Hind. Migraine agony shot up, he kicked his bike, and returned to his quarter. His Golden Retriever wagged his tail and leapt over Ramesh Babu the instant he saw him. He tried to shoo him away this time, furious. However, Golden Retriever was as frisky as usual. Ramesh Babu scolded, but the puppy leaped up and sat on his lap again.

Migraine was at its peak. Ramesh Babu hit him with a stick. Golden Retriever with no voice sat down and didn't move after being hit. Ramesh Babu wondered why his pet had not returned to him. He bowed and lifted his pet, crying this time. Ramesh Babu understood and promptly took him to the Veterinary hospital. The Vet bandaged the hair crack fracture after inspecting.

Our Ramesh Babu sobbed in front of the Vet, saying, "Sir, I gently hit him with a stick." I never imagined I could do such an inhumane thing to my puppy. I just attempted to push him because I was having a migraine attack and he wasn't letting me relax.

Ramesh Babu got him to his quarters while still in tears, after taking medicines. He took his backpack, gave the puppy milk, and placed him on the backpack without notifying his home. He arrived at his house in less than two hours after turning on the ignition. He opened the rucksack and introduced his Golden Retriever to his family members. They all grew to like their newfound member after a few days. Ramesh Babu returned to the workplace following his forced leave to inform his Commander of the incident. After hearing the complete story, the Commander sanctioned his leave.

Now that his Golden Retriever is 9 months old, he shuttles back and forth between the bachelor's quarters and Ramesh Babu's hometown.
