Glimpse Of Reality

INTRODUCTION 

Even after all this years of modernizing the ancient culture and practices , we all still live in a world full of myths where women are not given equal rights and privileges as men . This story may seem absurd to some people but these practices still continues in the small locality named Nawazgarh . This story is said to be an oral tradition passed by generation to generation to encourage the women in our society.  

THE STORYLINE 

This story is about a girl who lived in a Muslim ritualistic family . Her father was a Maulbi in the nearby Mosque and her mother was a housewife. There was belief in that locality that women's should not be educated rather be trained to be a obedient housewives. But Fatima always showed interested in studies since her childhood. Noticing Fatima's interest towards study her father decided to enroll her into the school. As expected from her, the topper of every year was none other than Fatima Siddiqui. But not everything was going well in Fatima's life, as she was from a ritualistic family the uniform she wore to school was different that the others, which we call as Burqa. She was not allowed to show even a little bit of her skin, the only noticeable thing was her eyes.

Wearing burqa everyday was not bothersome to that little child. But as she grew up and went to collage things weren't easy for her. Being so secretive became a reason for her bully, she also started getting irritated of her miserable life and decided to be free like others. So one day while getting ready for her collage she wore her desirable cloth underneath the burqa and did everything a normal teenager wants to do in her life. She enjoyed every little seconds of that day but instead of being grateful for those precious moments, her expectation grew more and more day by day.

Fatima started stealing money, make-up, fancy cloths and everything she found unguarded. She wasn't alone in these bad deed, she had a friend named kaisar who ruined her by advising her to do all these . All this time her parents were unknown to what their daughters was doing . And time went by very quickly and this was finally the annual exam of her graduate year . She was preparing to enter the exam hall and suddenly got call from kaisar's phone . She thought he called to wish her luck but it was a call from the hospital . They notified that while coming to her he met a drastic accident and they need a AB- blood group . Without even thinking a word she ran to the hospital leaving her exams . When she reached their the nurse assisted her to the patient and told her to find the blood group as soon as possible as this was a very rare blood type . She quickly told them that she had the same blood group and went to the operation room .

There was chaos in the room because he lost too much blood and in this hurry the nurse gave the injection to Fatima instead of kaisar . After donating the blood , she quickly ran to her collage and somehow completed the paper . After she submitted the paper and looked out of the window , she was shocked to see that it's almost night. She was very anxious because her father set a night curfew . Her luck was also not supporting as there was not any car or taxi nearby. Fortunately after 20 min she got a taxi and went home . When she reached home her father couldn't control his angry anymore and slapped Fatima for the first time in her life. Fatima ran to her room and we in a shock, she was having continuous thought of running away and she did with some of her cloths and saved up money.

The first place she went was the hospital to visit kaisar but the employees said her a shocking news that he passed away last night . While returning from the hospital she felt uneasy and felt like she would faint . She thought as she ran empty stomach from her house she was feeling that. So went to the nearby dhaba and wrote to her full extend and fell asleep there . When she woke up , she found her bag and purse was not in the place . She searched everywhere but couldn't find them . In the other side her father also filed a missing case for her daughter . After 2 days when the police were notified baby the dhaba owner about a lonely girl in burqa the police came immediately and took her home . As soon as she reached home she fell in her father's and started begging to forgive her.

Her father helped her up, took her into his arms and said the most shocking thing - " everyone does mistakes but tell me how was the outside world ? Did you like it? " She felt the warmth of her father's love for the first time .

Authors Note :- But this isn't a happy ending , how can we forget about the accidental injection given to her .
