On a warm summer afternoon, wind was gushing through the shores of Seine River in Paris. Tourists were enjoying the windy afternoon and clicking selfies with the Eiffel tower in the background. Amisha was browsing through the menu of a coffee shop situated close to the Eiffel tower, wondering what to order. Her eyes fell on Crème Brulee and all of a sudden all the memories of Devansh who loved Crème Brulee, gushed in her mind like the wind gushing through the window of the Coffee Shop.

Exactly 6 months ago, Amisha had a huge fight with her boyfriend Devansh back in India. After the heated argument, Amisha left Devansh’s house in a hurry. She had taken enough of Devansh’s arrogance and humiliation. Their relationship of 3 years couldn’t stand the test of time. Amisha always knew Devansh was controlling but maybe because of her low self-worth, she was sticking to the relationship. “Your partner should be encouraging and emotionally nurturing to you, not controlling and dominating like Devansh”, she thought. This was not Love. This was just a convenience relationship which was convenient for Devansh, but emotionally draining for Amisha. This was it. The relationship had to be cut from her life in order for her to be happy. Emotions running high, she sat on her scooter and drove quickly to get away as far as possible from him.

Suddenly out of nowhere, a kid came in front of her scooter. To save that kid, she put a brake. The kid was saved but her scooter skidded and her head started bleeding. Some bystanders took her to hospital. She got 7 stitches on her head. Unfortunately, her hair had to be shortened. The accident could have been fatal. Amisha was lucky to survive. Instead of feeling remorse, Amisha felt a sense of gratitude to an invisible Universal force which was asking her to move on and become a stronger version of herself. The shortened hair symbolized the cutting of the bad relationship from her life and moving on. It was time for her to let go of the past and focus on being happy with her own company.

Luckily for her, she got a coding project in Paris from the IT Company she was working with. The company sponsored her visit and stay in Paris for a month. Amisha loved her stay in Paris. It had been 15 days here and she loved every bit of being in her own company. The ambience of Paris helped her heal emotionally. Right from exploring the Louvre Museum to exploring the beautiful streets of Paris, Amisha was in awe with the city. There was a sense of self-worth and confidence in exploring the city on her own. No longer was she scared of doing everything on her own. No longer she felt alone and miserable. She felt blissful and felt a sense of oneness with everything around her.

She came back from her thoughts back to the Menu card of the coffee shop. “No more Crème Brulee”, she thought. She ordered a Cappuccino for her and relaxed in her chair. A sense of completeness filled her in. She was enjoying the solitude. She looked across the Eiffel tower visible from the window of the coffee shop. Everything felt surreal yet complete. Her eyes came back again in the coffee shop searching for the waiter who had taken her order. Just then, her eyes met another pair of eyes. He was sitting there from a long time immersed in a book. Both of their eyes met. His eyes reflected completeness and depth. A smile crept on both of their face. Amisha’s heart skipped a beat!
