Forgive us, Earth

Forgive us, Earth

This morning, I woke up and realized: I am running out of coffee. This kind of thought has never really bothered me before. Yet, as a single woman self-isolating herself in an apartment in Milan, I am now worried about my black coffee. It’s a cliché, I know, but freedom does lie in small things. I am one of 60 million Indians under quarantine in the attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

After weeks, I miss the freedom of stepping out of my house to buy a pack of coffee powder without having to wear gloves and a mask, but again life has its many ways.

I sometimes wonder if this was actually, sabotage carried out by the earth

As we, humans were causing so much pollution the earth decided to set off a curse that not only reduced humans but also reduced pollution.

Due to the lockdowns, being taken place in the country, people are not able to leave their houses and thus a result of that, there is also a large amount of reduction of pollution

I just hope that the earth will forgive us for the crime we have been doing over many decades.
