Did anyone ever wish the mother Earth on Mother’s Day?

Not sure about it. The response would be that there is an Earth Day .

Earth day was on 23rd April and did not find any mention, let alone euphoria. 

Is it that the earth being under our feet, her feet do not require to be touched respectfully?

We shamelessly exploit the earth every day, till our last breath.

Oh we don’t leave her alone after that also.

Some of us are even laid to rest in her bosom.

We grow several crops with short cycle time, to increase the output.

We may add fertilizers and minerals or carryout organic farming in whichever way we fancy but never as she would prefer.

Every inch of her surface is polluted with chemicals and pesticides, including the beautiful rivers that she carries on her surface.

We breakdown the huge mountains on her surface, which are like jewels around her neck and also excavate her gut for minerals and precious materials.

She will not demand respect but when she splits into two at 7 on Richter scale everyone around will remember their mother.

Forgive mother (earth) for the grave disrespect and accept our obeisance.
