|| Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is ||

This sloka/message from Mahabharat got into me so deep since the time I heard from my dad a few years back and put me onto my karma-yoga as it made me realize how our beliefs makes us hence I decided to pursue my life based on my thoughts for India, even further apply these ideas onto my own life and work towards making them success. I call this journey as “Doing it thyself” and how these ideas can build strong, well informed human capital for our “Atmanirbhar Bharat” when applied at large. I also know that there are millions of like-minded people who have same plans, would like to connect and trigger these factors in each of young minds thereby achieving our goal.Physical fitness needs to be groomed holistically through knowledge (jnana), science (vigyan) and execution (karma) to be “wealth” that will build human capital for the country, its crucial to keep up with the pace of this fast-growing world. Therefore through this forum, would like to spread my experiments with these three pillars and how they will play significant role in holistic upbringing.

Jnana: Being students it is very evident that academics play crucial role in enriching our knowledge (jnana) and align us on our path to our destiny, selecting the right stream of academics is the first determined step. I have chosen humanities as my academic stream as it imparts deep understand on every aspect of Indian history, economics, politics and social angles. My ambition is to be become an IAS serve my motherland whilst remaining fit and healthy. It is very crucial that current generation grasps the right facts and representation of our past to lay a strong future and hence jnana takes the first and foremost position in becoming self-reliant. Thanks to our government in strengthening this pillar further through mandated primary education and revival of the entire education policy. We should now focus on its quicker and smoother implementation.

Vigyan: Long journeys start with a small step, in the current situation, ideas recognized and implemented as a prototypes brings the needed confidence of their existence, we bought our ideas to life by building a working prototype which got selected by IIT-Kharagpur as Top 25 ideas out of more than 1000 for 2 years consecutively, these were made with a salient aim of converging the idea of Atmanirbhar Bharath with Swachh Bharath, the first idea named “Auto-Bin” is an end to end automated, unmanned, controlled and built for any terrain (that suits Indian context) garbage collector that can collect waste on land, remote areas, dangerous places etc., it is programable and run on batteries.

The second idea that demonstrates vigyan pillar is a working prototype called as “Sea Cleaner” which is intended to address perennial issues of water body cleaning. Its built for India keeping its usage and applicability and most importantly it’s a plastic made to clean plastic. Both the projects were made to collect waste from various topographic locations and created keeping affordability and large production in consideration. There are many schemes in government of India which aims to initiate and strengthen mechanisms of identifying research potential, mentoring, training and giving hands-on workshops on a national scale. Example are ABHYAAS, KARYASHALA, VRITIKA. we as a student can grab such opportunity. I am sure there shall be ever growing incubation of these ideas from youth into our mainstream programs like MAKE IN INDIA and VOCAL FOR LOCAL.

Karma: As the first two pillars provides enablement, this third pillar focuses on the ongoing execution of ideas and the needed tweaking. Apart from ideating it’s also equally important to take along the community. All of my ideas are shared, open and incremental. For example, the ideas that are induced to my sibling won great industry minds into an intra (global) school innovation project called as “Phyter” - a device which cleans the sea and provides food to the marine animals in the form of plants.

In today’s fast paced world, physical health is incomplete without mental and spiritual health, as regular routine I do Sandhya Vandana daily which gives me peace of mind and soul, I also actively spread this approach of serving one’s country, only when you are fit and healthy you can qualify as a resourceful human capital. Faster adoption of Yoga across the globe giving us an edge to lead the world and our traditional Ayurveda is being uncovered for its genuine cure. We will lead the world through our legacy, we are very placed to be Atmanirbhar
