Myself Prapti Gireesh Balaganur, studying in grade 8th CBSE in smart campus, Singapore. My journey in GIIS began from 2016, when I arrived to Singapore with my family members. I got admission into GIIS for grade 3. I was so scared on my first day of my, but my class teacher relieved me by assigning me with a buddy who turned to be very friendly and helped me in all the ways. Thus from day one I have a good feeling towards my school GIIS. GIIS was founded in 2002 in 7 countries across the world. GIIS has been honoured with several national and international awards for innovation and excellence in school education. My school not only emphasise on academic excellence, but also focus on other aspects of student growth.

My school is a smart campus which is the epitome of new-age learning, where every technology, every facility and every design has been carefully formulated to give us the best academic and extracurricular pedagogy for our benefit. My school has made me to be a fearless explorer. My school is all-rounder under one roof. My school GIIS have helped me to identify me potentials. I was good in field and track activities. But our sport teachers of GIIS sharpened my athlete qualities and which resulted in winning in many events, like inter school events, ACISIS, Marathons. Thanks to my sports teachers. I still follow those tips and exercises which has made a healthy and sportive student. Coming to the curriculum, I have best teachers for all the subjects in GIIS. This has not only helped me in scoring good marks but also got me SCHOLARSHIP. I am able to make my parents proud. Thanks to all teachers.

MY GIIS provides many extracurricular activity facilities which enriches our ideas, improve our social skills. These activities bring out our capabilities utmost and excel in that field. From last two years in art and craft subject, where I learnt many ways of colourings, painting on canvass and many more. One of the works which I learnt and surprised my parents is MANDALA ART. I have participated in many art competitions which gave me the confidence . My GIIS conducts many activities such as quiz, debates, dance, singing which gives an opportunity to showcase our talent. I participated in inter-school science projects with my friends making up a team and won second place. Then my school gave me the opportunity to participate in debate with relevant topic of these days . I learnt not only the debating skills but also got knowledge of many things which I was unaware of them. Through these activities we classmate learnt to work as team, practice, learn, grow and enjoy in doing them.

To sum up, studying in GIIS has helped me a lot personally. I will always be indebted to my school for shaping my personality and teaching me invaluable lessons. It has given me friends for life and teachers that I will always look up to. I aspire to carry on the values imbibed by my school GIIS to do well in life and make it proud.
