Day 5: Old Is Gold

Day 5: Old Is Gold

Dear Diary,

As things roll on in a monotonous life inside four walls. There is something new to pitch in, that's the reply of Ramayan and Mahabharat. In the world of Netflix and primetime, things go for a twist as the olden heroes return to tv screens. I was amused by this idea. And somewhere it made me relate to the olden saying, old is Gold.

As everyone glued to their tv in halls, it gave a feeling of uniting together, coming out of our mobile screen and watching something on the big screen.

Family bonding is happening gradually. Looking at my daughter watching the show, questioning a million things to his dad, I remembered my childhood. How I watched it every Sunday sitting close to my dad and Mom.

I am sure we all had many memories attached to these shows of our olden days.

Surely somewhere each one is undergoing a nostalgic feeling. Many of us have lost a few elders with whom we binged the show originally.

Each one has a different story to narrate and unique feeling to express.

But one thing stands out is each old thing is really a golden gem. Let us keep many such old things close to our hearts, it could be a family photo, maa saree, granny's shawl or grandpa's pen, postcard, coin or any letter.

They are a real treasure for us. As nothing else can make us travel down the childhood road again like these things.

Praying for the world to be free from this virus and be better altogether.
