"I didn't realize you are a romantic." Ameha said as Akash gave her his hand asking her to sit beside her.

"Ohh. I am a hopeless romantic. You will see. By the way, you are looking beautiful." He looked into her eyes. His hands searched for her and they held hands. Ameha rested her head on his shoulder, both facing the lake. It was calm. It felt safe, peaceful. Akash looked at her to see her eyes now closed and a smile on her face.

Ameha opened her eyes slowly to realize they were this close to each other and how affectionately Akash admired her. And how their lips were only inches apart. This somehow felt right. She leaned in closer and their lips met. It was a sweet, affectionate kiss. Ameha had a huge smile now and she was flushed.

"Ameha.." Akash raised her chin up. "You are the prettiest girl I have met till date." He kissed on her nose. "Also I have to say something." He hesitated.

"Tell me." She assured her.

"If its not evident yet, let me just tell you, I really like you Ameha since the day I first landed my eyes on you. "

"I like you too Akash."

Akash pulled her close and kissed her , passionately this time. They pulled apart after they craved for air.

"Also, i have to say something else. Actually, Dad needs me back in town. Something related to work. So I will be leaving today in the evening."

"Today? And you are telling me now??"

"He called me just this morning. Trust me, if it would not have been important, I would never want to leave your side. I can hold your hand and be forever. But.."

"I understand. Will you be back during the vacation?"

"Yes. Yes. Maybe in a month. Don't miss me much." He teased.

Ameha made a face. He kissed her knuckles. They sat beside each other for few hours and it was time for Akash to leave.

They went back home. Akash's parent were already there. Both the families being neighbor were super close. They were having tea & snacks.

"I will get my luggage." Akash said and signalled Ameha to join him upstairs.

She nodded. "Wait. Akash, I will help you pack."

As Ameha entered the room, Akash locked it. His bags were already packed.

"What are your intentions haan?" Ameha said snaking her arms behind his neck.

"Not pure." He said looking into her eyes. "As we will be away this long. I thought there should be a way for you to never forget me, not even a bit."

"What are you going to do?" She smirked.

Akash pulled her

closer by her waist and dumped his head on her lower part of the neck. He started sucking on it. Ameha let out a moan. He sucked harder to leave behind a strong love bite mark.

"I hope that won't allow you to forget me. And also this." He lowered her dress by the shoulder and placed a mark there. He pulled her face close and kissed her passionately. They were breathless and gasping for air.

That's when he heard his mother calling him out. "Damn. I have to go. I will call you once I am back there."

Luggage was settled in the car. Ameha was leaning against the door thinking how will she survive in this village as Akash was the only one who made the stay easy and now he is leaving for like a month.

Sarita, Akash & Akshat's mother was now seeking blessings from the parents before leaving. Akshat was there with no emotions on his face as usual.

"Akshat beta, why don't you come along? We know you love it here but maybe for a month or two & then you can come back." Sarita said.

"No. I am fine here." He said bluntly. Sarita's faced dropped as she entered the car. Akshat waved goodbye to his brother & went back inside the house. Ameha waved goodbye to Akash & followed Akshat.

"Akshat..." He stopped but didn't turn back. Seconds later, he started walking.

"Akshat.. Akshat.." Ameha paced and went ahead of him. "What's wrong with you?"

He kept mum.

"Sarita aunty wanted some time with you. Do you think its fair for her or Somesh uncle? I know you love it here but they deserve your time too."

"Are you done? Can I go now?"

"What is the matter with you? Sometimes you are this sweet guy, helping me buy a gift, baked a cake with me. And now you are this emotionless monster who doesn't give a f***."

"I don't think you are in the village to understand and analyze me Ameha. Why don't you use your time to actually do something fruitful? I am not Akash who would be wooed by your city charms. Stay away. "

He entered his room and locked his door.

Ameha was hurt. Not that she expected anything from him but she didn't expect him to be rude.

She got teary eyed and left for her home. Her network lines showed up and she received a text.

Message from Akash. "Already missing you. Keep my marks intact till I am back."

Ameha now had a smile on her face remembering her moments with him. Her hand traced the marks he had given her.

She wandered, how can two brothers be so different?
