Next morning, a car honked downstairs. It was already 9. Fuck, I missed the alarm.

Before I could comprehend I have messed up and my sister hates waiting.I heard angry footsteps approaching my door.

I rushed to my closet to pick up the first decent thing I spot and wear it. My hand was stuck in my sweatshirt when Amita entered.

"Alia, you were supposed to be ready. Its a long drive from here. " Her brows were taking forms now.

"I am ready. Just 2 minutes."

I freshened up a little as fast as I could. I dragged my luggage along.

"Lets go." I turned back to see Amita checking herself in the mirror. 

I agree you are pretty, super hot even after being a mom. Why always one sister ends up being the queen and the other one, duh, me.

"I thought we were late." I chuckled

"A woman is never late to check her makeup. Okay lets go."

I locked my house behind. Sam waved at me sitting in the back in his baby seat. Alex smiled and helped me with my luggage. I sat down with Sam, and Amita took the front passenger seat.

"So how long is the drive Alex?"

"4-6 hours perhaps. Depends on the weather. I heard its snowing there."

I played around with Sam and once he dozed off, I was bored. 

I connected my airpods and rested my head and looked outside the window.

Some trees were covered with snow, the view looks gorgeous.

The playlist started "My Heart Goes On." and my mind travelled back in time.

"You rented this cabin for us?" I said getting excited like a kid.

"Yes honey. Do you like it?" 

"I loveee it baby. Its how I have always dreamt to stay in the cabin in the woods surrounded by nature, minimal people and just you and me. "  

Harman pulled me close and we kissed.

He hugged me from behind. "I know. And you deserve the world." 

At night he took me outside the cabin where we had candles all around, covered with flower petals and a candle light dinner setup. 

He pulled the chair for me. 

Gentleman. I thought.

He poured the wine for us.

"Cheers. To us. To forever." 

I had a huge smile. How can be a man this perfect? Ohh have I won in life. Is it a fairytale?

"Would you like to dance Madame?" He said in his weird pretentious accent.

That's his thing. He tries different accents and none matches the original.

I placed my hand on his streched palm and got up. He placed his hand on my waist and pulled me close. My hand rested on his shoulder. 

The Heart Goes On plays in the background. That was our song since the prom where we met and danced on the same song for the first time. 

"I love you." We both smiled.

******* Present Day *******

Tears rolled down my eyes. The beautiful snow covered view turning blurry. 

And once drained, I dozed off.

I woke up to Sam's crying. 

I see the car is parked and just me and Sam in the car. I looked outside to see an annoyed Amita and an apologetic Alex.

I picked up Sam and stepped outside. 

"Whats going on guys?"

"Apparently we are stuck here. " Amita said shifting her gaze to Alex. 

"Yeah the roads are dangerous and closed too. Its snowing here since days and there is a prediction of a storm. I read about it but never imagined to be this serious. " Alex added.

"But we can't stay here if thats the case. We have Sam too. " I said, worried.

"No worries. There is a motel nearby as per my colleague. We will be staying there for the night. Once the storm settles, we can leave. "

We picked up the necessary items and walked towards this motel.
