Bygones

There resided a star in the sky

Agreed, it was much loved.

When it sank, it did sink.

The vastness of the sky wasn't disturbed.

So many stars have broken away,

So many loved ones it has lost,

The lost ones, were they ever found?

Did sky ever looked exhaust?

But tell me, for the broken stars,

Does the sky ever grieve?

The time that's gone, is gone for good,

Never to get retrieved.

There was a flower bright and gay,

The garden doted on it .

When it dried, it dried away.

Look at the garden’s breast .

Many saplings it has lost,

Many flowers have wilted away .

Did wilted flowers ever bloom?

Did there beauty stay?

But tell me, for the dried flowers,

Does the garden create an uproar?

Does it grieve and stopped blooming,

For the flower that it adored .

Nothing lasts forever in world,

To cry for things is futile .

That which is past, is gone forever .

Face everything with a smile .
