4 months have passed. He was still in doubt whether to propose her or not. He was little worried about his relationship with her. He did not know in which direction they were heading. His friends suggested him to propose her. He met a girl four months ago in the college library. After that, she was spending time with him. She was going home with him. They were having conversation all night. He had feelings for her. This was enough for him. Is she feeling the same way as he does? It was making him distraught.

That night, he was having dinner with his family. His phone beeped. He knew it was her. He took his phone in the left hand and ate with the right one. He unlocked his phone. It was her message. This gave him smile on his face. As soon as he clicked the message, he was shocked. His face turned pale. He couldn't swallow any part of bread anymore. He left his dinner in the middle and ran upstairs. His mother was calling him. He entered his room and slammed the door. He read the message again.

"Rohit I don't want to talk to you anymore. Please don't ask me any reason as I don't have any. Never call or message me again".

He called her right away. She didn't pick the call. He called her many times but she wasn't interested. He sat on the bed quietly. He couldn't believe what has happened. She had become an important part of his life. Everything diminished in a moment.

His mother was at the door.

"Rohit what happen. Open the door" she said. "You haven't finished your dinner".

He did not listen her voice. He didn't want to talk to anyone. But that was her mother’s voice. He controlled himself.

"Nothing. I will come downstairs in a minute" he said to his mother.

"Okay be fast" she said.

Was that real or a dream? What was his fault? Did he say something bad to her? Did she meet someone else? His mind started playing with him. All these questions start popping up in his mind. He heard his mother's voice again. He decided to stop thinking about her and went downstairs. He behaved normally there as nothing has happened. He was crying inside. He wasn't able to sleep that night. He decided to meet her next day. His mind was telling something different. The tussle between his mind and him has been going on since his birth. Mind always gave him a right choice. But this time, it was a matter of love. He wasn't going to give up so easily.

Next day, He was sitting in metro. He wanted to reach early and meet her but his mind was pushing him to the other direction.

"Everything happens for a reason. This may have good consequences for you" his mind said.

“Really? But tell me one thing. What did I do wrong? Why did I get hurt every time?” he said.

“You are thinking too much. That may be the right thing for both of you. The girl can decide on her own. Leave her if she wants to” mind said.

“How can I do that? I love her.” he said.

“You don’t love her. You just love her company.” mind said.

“What do you mean?” he said.

“Look, you barely know her. You met her 4 months ago. ” his mind said.

“So what? Love happens in a moment. 4 months is a long time.” he said.

“Then your definition of love is too vague.” his mind said.

“What? I don’t get you.” He said.

“You never understood the real meaning of love. On the path of love, it is not all about reaching to the destination. This path is full of up and downs. Love gives a hope to live but you people have changed the meaning of love in this material world. If you really love her, you should accept whatever she wants. Love allows you to accept that person as he or she is.” mind said.

“You meant to say I should forget her.” He said.

“If she wants that, you must.” mind said.

His mind has done the trick. He has always trusted his mind. Maybe mind knows better than me, he thought. Mind has always been a better consultant. He was convinced by the arguments his mind has put up. It has alleviated his agony.

He reached college. He went to the classroom. He was taking classes from morning. In the evening, he was sitting silently with his friends. He didn’t tell anyone about the last night incident. He wasn’t saying much. He was sitting with them, but he couldn’t hear their voices. He looked around to see the surrounding. Everything was the same as other day. Sun was shining. Birds were flying. Wind was blowing. Vehicles were running. Still, he was missing something which breaking him down from inside.

He wanted to go home. He was moving out of the college. He wasn’t looking at anything. He was walking silently. He moved his head up. He saw her. She was there with her friends. He moved his head away. He didn’t want to see her but his uncontrolled eyes looked at her again. They were far from each other. His body stopped moving. He was looking at his princess. His mind took control of his body and pushed him to move further. He went from there. His desire to meet was halted. He moved out of college.

One week has gone. It was 2 in the night. He was laying on his bed. His eyes were open and in no mood to fall asleep. His room was full of darkness. He left his bed. He went to the balcony. The whole city was sleeping. It was a pin drop silence all around. There was no sound of any vehicles. He could see dogs sleeping on the road. He closed his eyes to feel the cold breeze. There was something in the air. Every moment he had spent with her was flashing through his mind. He was feeling heartbroken. Suddenly, tears started to flow from his eyes. It was one of the rare moments, his eyes got wet. It would reduce his agony.

“Don’t feel dejected. Everything will be good. Go and sleep. I’m here for you.” he heard a voice. He was standing alone in the balcony. He got scared. He looked around but there were no one present. He went to his room and closed the door. Who was that? Whose voice was it? He laid down on the bed and closed his eyes to sleep.

Next morning, he was still in suspense about that voice. He was sitting on bed and thinking about it. No one was there and his parents were sleeping. Was that the voice of his mind?

“No, it wasn’t me.” His mind said.

“Then who?” he said.

“Don’t you know that?”

“No I don’t. Tell me.”

“That voice was of someone you love most.”

“No. it can’t be. My mom was sleeping at that time”

“Whom you love more than your mother.”

The moment he realizes, his eyes became wet. He got goose bumps. He could not believe. Depression moved out of him. He waited for this moment every second of his life. It was the voice of the Supreme one, the lover of Radharani and the controller of all living and non-living entities.

"Really? You must be kidding?" he asked his mind.

"No I am not. That was him. He has always kept his eyes on you. He watches every action of you. He loves you as much you love him."

He sat quietly for some time. All his anxiety has fainted. He was feeling a sense of relief.

Days passed, he was living in silence. He was not the same as earlier. His mischievous acts had stopped. Smile had gone from his face. Surely, he was missing her. Her absence was hurting him.

After a long contemplation, he decided not to engage with anyone again. He did not want to go through that suffering anymore. It took him some time to recover.

He started reading stories of his friend, Krishna. Those stories were magical. It made a big impact on him. It provided him a desire to live again and gave him a new perspective of life. Those words from Krishna changed him completely.
