Birthday Gift

Do you remember Dad, it’s my Birthday today? “Happy Birthday to me”, wishing me, myself, as you are not here to wish me. I miss the days, when you were here with me.

You would always ask me, what I wanted to receive as a gift for my Birthday. I used to tell you so many things, which you always tried to give me. And six months after my Birthday, comes your Birthday. I would ask you “Dad, what gift would you like to get?” You would reply “You are my gift, honey. I got you, I don’t want anything else.”

You know Dad, I have always asked God, to return you to me, since after you left me. I told him, my Dad is all that I wanted.

Today also, I want the same gift on my Birthday. I want to be with you every day.

After six months from today, it will be your Birthday, and this time, I would like to give you the best gift that you will ever love.

I have been diagnosed with cancer. Doctor said, I have only a few months left. You know Dad, I am so happy, we will meet eventually. And Dad, please be ready to receive your Birthday gift.
