One fine morning I woke up early at 5 o’clock. I didn’t know what to do. So I decided to go for a walk. I enjoyed the morning walk. The air was so pure and I enjoyed every minute. It rejuvenated my day.

when I was walking, I happened to see a boy begging on the roadside. I felt embarrassed to see a young boy in rags and standing with a begging cup.

I determined to help the boy. I went near the boy and asked ‘Who are you?’ ‘Why are you begging?’

the boy ‘looked at me up and down’ without replying. I asked him again.

in anger the boy said ‘Don’t you have any job?’ Go and do your work. Don’t disturb me.

i didn’t know what to say, so I came back home. I was not able forget that small boy begging. I pitied him.

i thought for a day or two. Then I went to meet the helpless boy taking my two new shirts. I saw him in the same place. Without saying a word, I gave the new shirts to him.

without even thinking, he grabbed the shirts and immediately wore one of them. there was a big smile.

next day, I went there, but I didn’t talk to him and sat at a distance looking at him. After sometime the boy came near me and asked ‘ What did you bring?’ I showed my empty hands. He was disappointed and about to leave. I stopped him, will you sit here for a while. I sat next to me. I decided to become his friend.

I addressed him as friend.

mu friend what is your name.

i didn’t know, but people call me maestro cherry as my nose looks like cherry. Hearing this I started laughing. This angered him and he moved from there. I knelt down and asked forgiveness. He was impressed by this and asked let us be friends. I was waiting for this moment so immediately I accepted it. Every evening we met there and we talk about a lot of things. He started to trust me. Whatever I say he listened to me.

I wanted to give him life. Giving money would not solve his problem. So I thought to teach a life skill. I told him to chant positive affirmations every day and told him to visualising him as a decent boy with good food and shelter. He believed my words and followed it sincerely and regularly. Time is the good healer.

one fine morning, the boy saw a five year girl running frantically in joy in the beach. Suddenly a hungry dog started chasing the young baby to take the biscuit from her. As soon as he saw it he was shocked and wanted to save the girl risking his life. He lifted the baby and took the biscuit from her and threw it to the dog. The dog ate and went away. The baby’s father came running and thanking incessantly the boy. The boy gave the baby and moved away.

next day was a wonderful day for the boy. The baby’s father came in car and thanked again the boy and requested him to come to his house. The boy refused, but the father adopted him legally and take him home. Before leaving the beach, the boy came running to me and thanked me profusely for making him to say the positive affirmations. This life is because of positive affirmations, visualisations and his strong belief. I was very happy to see my friend’s well-being. I went home happily.
