Ardour

One cold December afternoon in 2011, while going on a merry-go-round with his friends suddenly he noticed someone staring at him. He looked down and saw a pair of eyes above a glittering nose stud looking straight at him. Initially, he took it as an accidental glance but her view never diverted it was fixed at him. He blushed out a smile and she smiled back. After coming down from the ride he went towards her and she was waiting for him to come up.

He asked her name and she said Lakshmi after formal introduction they started conversing for a couple of minutes until the duo were cut off by her dad. And for the next 2 hours there were no verbal conversations other than an occasional smile and fixed glances and when it was time for her to leave she asked for his phone number and he hurriedly wrote it down on a piece of paper and gave it to her but while she started walking out fading away from his view he noticed her dad tearing the paper into pieces and throwing it away and she looked back one last time with disappointed eyes as he stood there with a fixed view at his ardour slipping away.
