All you need is love

Tania’s father worked in the army, and her mother had married another man after her parent's divorce when she was just twelve. Now, she worked in a café, a part-time job. Her male colleague became her best friend, with whom she shared her feelings and emotions.

“Hey, how are you today?” Her male colleague asked.

“I am fine, Tarun,” she answered with a slight smile.

“Boss is coming today,” he said. “Everything looks fine to me.”

“Yeah, I made sure today all is going to be okay,” she said confidently.

A guy started coming to the café every day. He was always alone. There was a conflict with a customer and he solved the issue. Boss was there. He was really angry with her. But as the guy solved the conflict, boss calmed down a little.

“You should be more careful,” boss shouted. “How can you serve the wrong platter to the customer?”

“I am sorry, sir,” Tania said. “It never happened before. I would be more careful next time. I will not repeat this mistake again, sir.”

But then again, the waiter spilled water on another customer.

The boss fumed with anger. Tania rushed to the customer and offered her tissue. And then, she apologized to her on behalf of the waiter.

“Nobody works well here. Next time I will fire you,” boss shouted at the waiter.

“Sir, please calm down,” the manager said. “They must have been nervous today. Every day they work fine. It will not happen again, I assure you.”

Another day, the guy gave his ordered food to another customer because there was only one left to save her from another conflict. He seemed to be a nice person. He started following Tania and kept tabs on her.

One day there was an attack. Some goons attacked her and tried to kidnap her. But he fought off the goons and helped her escape. They both ran and hid in the jungle. They built a fire in the middle of the jungle with the help of dried leaves and stone. There were moments when they came close.

He showed that he disliked her and was in this situation because of her. The goons followed and found them. There was a fight, but Tania and Arjun escaped. It was a close call. She sprained her ankle while running. Arjun carried her in his arms. They hid in a cave.

“Who were those people?” Tania asked him. “Why did they try to kidnap me?”

“I don't know,” he said. “But they definitely wanted to harm you.”

“Who are you?”

“What? What do you mean?”

“I mean who are you? You saved me from the goons and earlier you saved me twice at the café.”

“I am a nobody. I am just here to protect you. I saw a helpless girl and decided to save her. That's it.”

“You are a nice man… err. Your name? I never asked your name.”

“Arjun, my name is Arjun.”

It was raining heavily, so, they lit fire inside the cave to keep themselves warm. It was night. They slept inside the cave. When they woke up, they were in each other's arms. They immediately drew apart.

They changed clothes, disguised themselves, wore burka to deceive the goons. Finally, after some chase, the goons were caught. Then, they were both kidnapped by army officers. They handcuffed them and put them in the jeep.

“This is all a mistake,” she said. “Where are you taking us? The goons are caught already by the police officers,” she added.

“Shhhh... Keep quiet,” Arjun shushed.

After reaching their destination, Tania saw her father and came to know that the goons were terrorists.

“Thank God you are fine,” her father embraced her with tears in his eyes.

“What is all this?” Tania asked her father. “Why am I here?”

“Those were bad people and they wanted to harm you because I am your father. All these years I was away from you to protect you.”

She was the daughter of a High commanding officer, the colonel.

“Inspector Arjun here saved you. He was appointed for your safety,” her father said.

“Inspector Arjun, wow, so that's why you were in my café every day,” she said to Arjun. “You were keeping eyes on me.”

Now that the terrorists were arrested and encountered, there was no danger upon her. His father tried to show concern and fatherly love for her, but she was angry. He even offered her to stay with him, but she refused and returned to work in the café.

At the café, everyone was concerned about her. Days passed by, and everything became normal.

“You know what, I love someone and I want to propose to her on Valentine's Day,” Tarun said to Tania. “How is it?”

“It's awesome. I am happy for you,” she said.

Tania missed Arjun and dreamed about him surprising her on Valentine's Day. He had made quite an arrangement, flowers, candles, photographs of her, and fairy lights. He even played the guitar for her and sang her favourite song. But then, she woke up and realized it was only a dream.

From another colleague, she discovered that Tarun loved her and was going to propose to her. She went straight to Tarun.

“Hey Tania,” Tarun said as soon as he saw her. “What's up?”

“Tarun, I want to say something,” Tania said. “I am in love with someone else.”

“What are you saying?”

“Tarun, we can't be together,” she said with utmost regret. “We are friends right. Please forgive me.”

Tarun was left heartbroken. He went to the bar and started drinking. “Tania loves somebody else and he must be that man, Arjun,” he confessed to his friends. Arjun was in the bar too and heard their conversation.

The next day, Tania thought she saw Arjun, but one moment he was there and then gone. She went shopping with her friend. They talked, and she confessed her feelings for Arjun. While shopping, she dreamed about bangles and earrings being brought by him and that he helped her try them on. And she wished she had a valentine this Valentine's Day without being single always.

On Valentine's Day, she was kidnapped. Someone blindfolded her, and the whole place was decorated when she opened her eyes. She saw Arjun emerge with a guitar, playing her favourite song. She felt that she was dreaming again, but he told her it was not a dream. That it was all real and after that he confessed his feelings. They hugged. He gifted her the earrings and bangles she had tried on in the shop but hadn't bought. She was happy and in love.
