ADRISHYA, The Disappearance

LOGLINE 

After learning his 6yr old son is murdered by a serial killer, a broken-spirited police inspector sets out to avenge his son’s death. The only problem; he receives letters from someone anonymous saying his son is still alive! Two people in his life; one confesses killing his child; the other assures the child is still alive. Who is lying and who is telling the truth? Solve THE RIDDLE. 

 

SYNOPSIS 

Rajbeer is a 35 years old police inspector who is depressed in his life. The reason is 5 years ago his son goes missing coz of his carelessness and for that, his wife left him. 

The story starts when Rajbeer receives an anonymous letter saying his son is still alive. Rajbeer ignores the letter as he thinks someone has played a bad joke on him.  

On the other hand, a serial killer, Ram Charan Singh, is being caught in the state of UP. He easily confesses that he has killed 9 kids out of which one is Rajbeer’s son.  

When being informed about this by a lady constable Deepika Raghuvanshi, who trained under him, Rajbeer meets Ram Charan and beats him up badly in custody. He asks Ram Charan for the whereabouts of the remains of his son so that at least he can give his son a proper last rites/funeral but Ram Charan puts a bargaining chip. Help him escape the jail in return of the whereabouts of his dead son. Rajbeer hesitatingly accepts and makes a plan for Ram Charan to escape from the custody and succeeds. 

Ram Charan takes him into an abandoned house in a deep jungle and shows him the spot. On digging, Rajbeer indeed finds the bones and remains of his child. He then gives a proper ritual to his son but just about the Kanpur police catch both of them. 

Rajbeer, in custody, accepts his fate, but here at his residence, Rajbeer’s colleague and friend Vijender finds letters at Rajbeer’s place saying his son is ALIVE and in good condition! Also, there is some hair in the envelope. When tested with the forensic, the DNA of the hair indeed matches with Rajbeer, and that too the hair is fresh.  

Vijender meets Rajbeer in Kanpur jail and informs him about this. Rajbeer is confused as to whose body did he performed the rituals then. But not to take any chance, he is recharged again as he got a purpose to solve the case. He escapes from the custody and manages to meet Ram Charan for one last time to insure if he was telling the truth. With the meeting in no success, Rajbeer is still confused, but then decides to follows the lead of the envelope.  

The sender gives him a task to kidnap a boy and deliver it to him in return for his child. Unwillingly, Rajbeer commits one more crime and kidnaps the child. He brings the child to the asked location. There, the final task is given to Rajbeer. Kill the child!
