A Water Drop Matters

"Mom, l have been told to write a short note on how to save water. Tell me what should I write." Said the girl in the house where my house was there.

Well, l almost forgot about the introduction. I don't have a name because there are hundreds of copies of me. I live in a particular hindware art tap with all my siblings. When we all come together and flow out of this tap, we are collectively known as flowing water. So, you must have guessed what I am, a water drop.

"Reena, there are many things :

1- Do not waste water.

2- Don't throw untreated pollutants into the rivers and lakes.

3- Don't bathe in the rivers, and never excrete near them nor wash your animals in them.

4- Every drop of water matters and even one should not be allowed to fall down." That girl's mother said.

I heard this last sentence as I was falling down from the tap.

I was falling and falling and falling. Then suddenly l hit the ground. It was made up of marble and was very cold. Then l started sliding off and then entered a very long and deep well. This was certainly lengthier than the before ride. Then I fell on 'flowing water' they all were been carried away somewhere, now including me in them. Suddenly l saw light, and we all were getting added to a big river. First I was happy but when I entered, the river was covered on the top by something greenish colour and it was absorbing all the oxygen. My fellow siblings were dying and many fish were also.

"If only people like Reena's mom stop talking and bring it all into reality, we all would now have been living a bit extended life." I thought before closing my eyes forever.
