The Floating Palace....

The Floating Palace....

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon. I was spending it by reading a book sitting in the window of my room.

Suddenly, l heard a fluttering voice. I looked up from the book to see where was the voice coming from. Nothing was in sight, so l went back to the book. Again the same voice was coming, this time l was determined to see what the source of the voice was. So I kept the book down and getting out of the bed, went into the garden from where the voice was coming.

I followed the voice, it was coming from behind the bushes, so l parted the bushes and saw that a small, very tiny Bird's leg was under a rock. I went near it to help it. As l drew further the bird started getting scarred of me and it screamed. Screamed. So I told it not to get scared and went and removed the stone from its leg. It happily flew above and came back and said thanks. This was when I came to know that this wasn't a bird, it was a tiny little, fairy. The fairy was telling me to come behind her. We were soon near a tree in my garden. That fairy did some hocus-pocus and I became of its size. Then she pressed a button on my tree and a leaf came floating down which in no time, was lifting us up to the top of the tree.

"Hello, l am Blue. What's your name?" That fairy asked.

"Hello back, l am Maya. Nice meeting you- " before I could ask where she was taking me, the leaf halted and we arrived at a point above the tree. Here was a beautiful palace in which we were going. We entered the palace, l was looking at it with awe. In front of us sat the Queen. She looked very fierce and her eyes said don't meddle with me. I bowed in front of her, and before anything happened, she ordered her guards to take me away. They dragged me all the way and then threw me off from the palace. I was falling and falling and falling.

Suddenly, before I fell down, l woke up with a start, at the same place where I was sitting. And realised that this all was a dream.

I laughed at myself for being such a stupid, with the book, in my hand, the floating palace........
