A Very Accidental Love Story

“How do you know I like you?” Dr Reena asked Tarun.

“Because I can see that in your eyes,” Tarun said with a blissful smile on his face.

Tarun was a volunteer in a hospital where he once admitted his grandfather who died of a heart stroke.

In those three months of hustle in hospital, Tarun saw the sufferings of the people. Hence he decided that from now on he will volunteer so that he can help the needy and make them smile in those painful moments of adversities.

After finishing his corporate duty, he used to come to the hospital and assist the medical staff and suffered patients while his weekends were spent in the hospital only.

Everybody in a hospital used to know Tarun now. Whenever he used to come, he used to bring optimistic energy with him. His genuine smile would lighten up the whole scene around him.

Dr Reena, a young girl just after completing her degree joined this hospital. While examining a patient in a general ward, she saw Tarun playing with kids and asking the old aged patients about their health.

“Who is this guy, I see him often. Why does he come here?” Reena had some unanswered questions in her mind.

“Sister, who is this guy?” Reena asked curiously.

“He is Tarun. He volunteered to come and assist us. He is such a selfless guy who has no self motive coming here.” The nurse spoke and left.

Reena stood silent. Something touched her about Tarun. She wanted to know more about this unknown guy but never got any chance.

One fine day, hospital staff urgently needed blood for an operation but failed to find any.

“I have O .” A guy spoke who was none other than Tarun. Dr Reena stared at him once again. While giving the blood, Tarun also saw Reena wearing a white coat and a stethoscope around her neck, examining the proceedings.

That moment was special while they both stared at each other for some seconds like they know each other from eternity. Tarun gave his blood and left while Reena was still lost in his resplended thoughts.

Now Reena used to see Tarun often, while Tarun, after seeing Reena, used to pass his pleasant, straight from the heart smile which provoked Reena's heart to skip a beat.

Likewise, Reena was just lost in his thoughts while sitting in the hospital cafeteria. “Can I sit here Doctor?” A voice came leaving Reena's Fantasyland a sudden halt.

Reena raised her gaze and saw Tarun standing in front of her staring with an angelic smile on his bright face.

“Yes, please sit,” Reena spoke fumbling while Tarun sat in front of her. They are instantly lost in the eyes of each other as they have met after a long wait that lasted till eternity.
