Serenity, Tranquility, and placidity create excellent ambiance for getting creative and spontaneous ideas of artistic, literary inventions to undertake article, anecdote, write up to pen down.

I am in Boston USA in my daughter Swetha’s house, sitting in my favorite glass room surrounded by verdure with lush green grass and tall trees with different colored leaves due to the false season.

I am intending to commence small stories, articles, poems, write up on different subjects, themes and morals. During my last visit to my daughter’s place, I had written a few poems, anecdote, and write-ups on different subjects which was published on the Storymirror.com website, read and appreciated by many readers. Story mirror had awarded me a certificate “literary colonel” in recognition of my good literature.

I am writing this story, which happened to be true, the event that took place in south India, Secunderabad.

A goldsmith with orthodox background ekes out his living with his family in his trade. A stray dog use to come to sit and rest in the outside sit out the platform in the house premises day and night. The goldsmith nor his wife had no concern nor liking for the dog and they never bothered to feed food or offer water This stray dog daily use to follow the goldsmith, who goes to his shop sharply at 9 AM in the morning and return home at 9 PM at night.

The dog ceremoniously uses to follow the goldsmith to the shop, and take rest under the shade and return back with him to the house and sleep outside sit out the platform. This routine was going on for several days. But the goldsmith was unconcerned and never showed any liking for the dog. After a few days in continuous association with the dog, the goldsmith had developed little attachment and started throwing leftover food and in turn, his wife also started feeding the dog with leftover food. On one fateful night, the goldsmith had a massive heart attack and died. But the dog continued to go shopping at dotted 9 AM in the morning and return home at sharp at 9 PM and sleep at his usual place. This routine was going on for a week.

All the colony people and the family members had noticed this unique behavior of the dog and became the talk of the topic. The goldsmith wife had developed love and attachment for the dog and started feeding with more personal care. But the dog was not partaking even a morsel of food nor a sip of water for several days and one day breathed his last on the sit-out platform.

What a devoted dog, not able to bear the separation of his master and left for heavenly abode. The God-created bondage between the animal and humanity is something incomprehensible, especially the DOG.

“The more I come to know a man, the more I come to admire a DOG.”
