A Letter To Me

A Letter To Me

Life is difficult but more than it is like a rocky hill, with loads and loads of problems. Well, my life has been the same. This world is terribly cruel and well let's just say Darwin was right " the survival of the strongest it is." For every step, you take you are humiliated. I learnt this when I was thirteen years old. It continues and will always. The first time I was broken beyond belief, well because I expected everyone to be roses, what I forget was that they do have thorns. No one to encourage, no one to motivate. Well, I was sad for some time but forgot everything with time because they say na " time is the greatest healer ". I let my wounds heal only to leave scars of understanding and experience. It was then I wrote my first letter to myself. There are 7.7billion people, all busy in their own worlds. I took the task of encouraging my self because why not. I wasn't a fool to wait for things to work according to their own. The letter below is a reminder of what we truly are.

Hey there!

You " I quote " are a terribly real thing in this terribly false world, and that I believe is why you're in so much pain"

I don't claim to know you or understand you but there is one thing I know is that you feel lost and lonely. You know there an interesting thing about human beings or as we call ourselves homosapiens is that we either appreciate the skill in others or envy them. Well, I appreciate you for that goodness within you that you keep hidden within that big heart of yours. I appreciate those eyes of yours which shine with maturity and understanding. You have seen a lot, suffered a lot but still, you stand tall, uncaring to the world. Be proud of yourself.  An erudite person had once said, " problems aren't too big maybe we are too small for them. " Every sunrise brings the dawn of new opportunities and every sunset promises that tomorrow will be better. Learning to appreciate oneself is a big step. You don't need a crowd to clap for your achievements, what you need are satisfaction and happiness. You will realize that one day that happiness was not about a perfect job, or your grades, or loving people. It was never about following somebody's footsteps, it is never about being liked by others. One day you're gonna see it - that happiness was about the discovery, the hope, the listening to your heart and following whatever it chose to go. Happiness was always about being kinder to yourself, it was about embracing the person you were becoming. One day you will understand that happiness was about learning how to live with your self, that happiness was never in the hands of the others. It was always about you. It is always about you. There is nothing black or white, dark or light, hell or heaven, good or bad; it has always been in our minds for mum once said,

" We have both good and bad within us . Nobody is born a sinner or saint.  Who we choose to become is in our hands. What would you prefer clapping or screaming? It's all upon you. "

You aren't perfect. In fact, nobody is. Your flaws are what make you, who you are. Embrace them. Except them. It is always okay to not be okay. It is okay to cry. Crying doesn't mean you are weak, it means you have stayed strong for a long time. Let tears of anguish, of misery fall. Once over you will feel much better. Never think that you have a path to choose. Create your own path and write your own destiny. Live life to your fullest. Every moment matters. Live life in terms of intensity. Your only limit is you and your views. Limits were meant to be broken. You have the potential in you. Believe that you are meant to bring change. If not within this world but surely within you. You could die at any moment, now, tomorrow or some other day. We all could. Life is too short for regrets and anguish. Leave them behind. Carry not the burdens but the lessons you have learnt. The best friend in my life is me. Try something different. You could fail but who would care? At last, you would have that big grin for at least you tried.

Whose heart doesn't fear suffering? Every body's  does. Tell your heart the fear of suffering is worst than suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams. People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams because they feel that they do not deserve them or they will be unable to achieve them. We, their hearts become fearful just thinking about the loved one who go away forever or the moments that could have been good but weren't or the treasure that might have been found but was forever hidden in the sands. Because when things happen we suffer terribly. Ever heard Friedrich Nietzsche;he says," I overcame myself, sufferer; I carried my ashes to the mountains; I invented a brighter flame for myself. "

Just live for now because there is no tomorrow. Try becoming more of yourself. You'll end up surprising yourself, you know. Like how strong you are and how much your heart can grow. One minute you are in pieces and broken on the floor and the next moment you're on your shoes, heading towards the door. Remember there is unknown waiting for you, something bigger and better. This is all that will make you continue. They say ' a mind can move mountains ' it's true. You are the master of your own mind. Have faith in yourself. Mould yourself in such a way that you are the only person who can defeat you. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. You are a diamond among stones, flower among thorns and hope amongst despair.  You are a beauty hidden under walls of hatred , doubt and misery. Have hope within you. Time flies,  wounds heal and at the end only memories remain as do scars. Nothing is permanent, nothing is stagnant. Dead are stagnant not the living. What is bad shall turn good and what good is could become bad. Change as grindelwald said is " for the greater good ". Just stay firm at what you truly believe in. Be inspired, motivated but never manipulated.

" This  too shall pass "

There are 1% of people who do not wake up from their sleep every day. Be happy you are not one among them. Smile big because you are here and deserve everything. Do you know walking in the forest barefooted makes you feel alive and refreshed? Why? Well because there is a sense of belongingness. Start with something small. Tiny steps but please start. Learn from everyone. Did you know that every great man was considered abnormal or such? Did you know about the scientist named Thomas Alva Edison; he was thrown out of his school and shunned out of the society. Why? Because they felt he was worthless, a good for nothing person. It was his mum, his mentor who educated him and fed his curiosity. Today he is world famous because he tried something unique, something original and something considered impossible.  He failed 2000 times but my dearest he,  never gave up. Giving up is not hard, it is the decision to quit, which makes it difficult. Nobody is born monster. It is situation and the way they handle it, makes them one. You either become a broken but kind hearted person or a storm born for crippling and destructing.

" The truth is every monster
You have ever met
Or will ever meet
Was once a human being
With a soul
That was as soft
And light
As silk.
Someone
Stole that silk from their soul
And turned them into this.
So when you see
A monster next,
Remember this.
Do not fear
The thing before you
Fear the thing
That created it instead."

Yours truly,

You.

Self-motivation is the best way to rise from nothing and become everything. When there was no one for me, I stood up for myself. Rises from ashes o! dear one, do not wait just keep walking and walking.
